Trattoria Zia Cate In Gavi

Quality food, well-cooked. We ordered a seafood/mountain dish, a first course with spaghetti, clams, and artichokes, a second course with braised beef, spinach puree, and a dessert with pears in wine, accompanied by local rosé ice cream. It's a shame it wasn't still there.

Recommended by a friend...booked and off we go! Simple, authentic place. The ravioli are excellent. Excellent value. I'll definitely be back, hoping to find this place again!

The atmosphere is very simple, but the discovery of good food and welcoming service is remarkable. If I were to return to that area, I would definitely return to try the chef's creations. Bravo!

For me, these 5 stars you give are not enough... everything here is fantastic, the place is small, but welcoming and typical, the cuisine is simply fantastic, the service is exceptional, what can I say? I was there on Thursday for lunch... and I repeat that it is one of the places where I have eaten best in my almost 60 years of life. I ate the ravioli al vino... fabulous, the risotto with barbera and radicchio (I may have got the wine wrong...) was something sublime... and also the minetrone and the meat... honestly... it deserves some Michelin stars!

If you're in the Gavi area, be sure to book a delicious lunch at this traditional and welcoming restaurant. In a charming atmosphere, you'll find very friendly staff and excellent food! Delicious ravioli, and, for example, the crispy octopus with pistachios and licorice is a must-try. The meat melts in your mouth, and the desserts are delicious. We're so happy with this discovery, located in the heart of Gavi, just steps from the main church.
