Trattoria Zi Maria In Cerveteri

We chose this restaurant for a family lunch and I was told to find a table by reservation. The atmosphere is very nice and the room where they reserved the table for us is really welcoming. There were four of us and we ordered the mixed grill with French fries, tagliolini with broad beans, chestnut fetucine with porcini mushrooms, tagliatelle with artichokes, scamorza with porcini mushrooms, white truffle and pistachio ice cream, babà, sfogliatelle with cream. I personally had the tagliatelle with artichokes and the scamorza with porcini mushrooms which I recommend. The white truffle ice cream is acceptable. The French fries were good but without salt. As for the rest of the food, my companions were quite satisfied. No one complained. The waiting staff was a little distracted and not very welcoming. Overall, the food was very good but the price was relatively high. The first courses range from 17 euros to 20 euros. For the second courses you spend a little more but a mixed grill for 2 at 27 euros is a fair price. The scamorza with porcini mushrooms costs 15 euros and is a large dish that can easily be shared between two. A dessert about 5 euros. A plate of French fries 7 euros. First course, second course, dessert and water, about 35 euros per person.

Good restaurant, shame about the service

Excellent food, good courses, main courses and side dishes, good service, excellent choice of wines. The straw paper tablecloths are not at their best, they are not suitable for the venue, the chairs covered with uncomfortable cushions and not always clean are uncomfortable. We expected better from the location.

It was a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect to find a restaurant of this level in an almost remote location. Very comfortable environment and lots of greenery outside with stepped flowerbeds. Excellent service. Fresh and perfectly cooked food.

I had the pleasure of having lunch here today for the first time, the location is a little out of the way but once you arrive, your taste buds start to party... the staff is fast and friendly, the food is delicious, downstairs there is the cellar reachable by a large wooden spiral staircase, I think it is the pearl of the restaurant, you can get lost among spirits and vintage wine. I found the grilled meat excellent, cooked very well, I think I will happily return.
