Excellent traditional cuisine served in a beautiful farmhouse in the heart of the Literno countryside.
The appetizers were divine! We gorged ourselves like pigs.

I really liked it. I hadn't been there for years and I had a great time. For starters, there was a generous platter of cured meats and cheeses, followed by simple but delicious first courses. I really enjoyed the polenta with sausage sauce. Their tiramisu, though, wasn't really that convincing. Beautiful location, especially in this autumnal period. The cellar downstairs is beautiful, definitely worth a visit. You can also have dinner there, under certain conditions. Zi Maria, we'll definitely be back.

When you go to Zi Maria, you already know what to eat: porcini mushrooms from Tolfa.
The menu is a bit limited: three cold cuts appetizers, but the scamorza with truffle or porcini mushrooms is a good option. There are a few first courses (seasonal fettuccine with porcini mushrooms or pappardelle with wild boar), and four meat dishes (beef fillet, two pork fillets, and guinea fowl). The larded fillet with porcini mushrooms is superb (€28). The wine cellar is fabulous (worth a visit), with a wide selection of wines from all regions.

The place is quiet and very beautiful. The food is typically homemade: gnocchi, fettuccine, and pappardelle are all handmade. We didn't try the main courses because we were in a bit of a hurry. The desserts are also homemade. The quality/price ratio is perhaps a little high, but that's acceptable.
