I think it was the most pleasant discovery of the last few months. We stopped here because it was on the way home and it looked nice. It was a delicious dinner, starting with the bread and crostini, which I'm not kidding when I say they're the best I've ever eaten. We had an appetizer of eggplant millefeuille with potato rosti and pesto, delicious. Finally, two first courses: the bigoli with sardines, very good and surprisingly delicate. I don't like sardines, but I tried them and I have to say I could have eaten them (I generally can't even stand the smell of sardines), so amazing. Instead, I ordered the Bigoli cacio e pepe with cherry tomatoes, one of the best things I've ever eaten, and I'm not kidding. The Bigoli were cooked perfectly, my favorite. Plus, with our coffee, they offered us a sbrisolona biscuit (I don't like sbrisolona, and neither does my boyfriend). We fought over the biscuit, but I think it's the best dry pastry biscuit I've ever eaten.
I know this review might seem overly positive, but it was truly an excellent dinner.
The dishes were generous and the quality was unbeatable, especially during this time of year.
If I had to make a comment, the cacio e pepe was very spicy, but then again, it's cacio e pepe 😅, so be careful if you order it.
Excellent service and exquisite staff, and even that's hard to find these days. I can't wait to go back for the main courses 🥰

The food is delicious and beautifully presented. The people are friendly. There are also a few truly special vegetarian dishes, such as the parmigiana millefolium or pumpkin tortelli.

Typical restaurant in the Mantua area. Business lunch. Pumpkin tortelli to die for. Simple and welcoming. I loved it.

This was our first time at this restaurant, which was recommended to us.
The food was very good, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the place was very cozy and not too noisy.
We were very happy.
The three of us spent €70 for one appetizer, two first courses, one dessert, three soft drinks, one water, and one coffee.
We'll definitely be back!!

Second year in Mantua, and we wanted to return for another experience. The risotto alla pilota was delicious, the donkey stew was also delicious, and the Swiss cake was sublime. Attentive and friendly service. The bill was reasonable. Free parking. Highly recommended.
