Trattoria Vecchia Roma In Roma

Great little place, very popular. The pasta carbonara en cacio e pepe were among the best pastas we've had during our Italy roadtrip. I wouldn't recommend the meat dishes. Our beef stew in wine and the osso bucco were very average and not as tender as you'd expect from a nice stew.

This restaurant is a wonderful place. The food is excellent. The price is good. The waiters are friendly and very fast. I will definitely come back next time I am in Rome.

Wonderful traditional Roman dishes! An incredible culinary experience! Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in Rome, especially for tourists curious to appreciate incredible dishes.

Everything was excellent. The tables were a little small.

Very crowded place, with a large number of seats. Orders were sometimes forgotten, but they were quickly recovered. The food was quite good, and the prices were reasonable. I expected much more given the long line. The space was cramped and the inside was hot.

Yesterday I went to this restaurant and we waited in line for an hour. I really wanted to eat there, so okay, I stayed in line cus I didn’t have a reservation. Fine for me! After that, it started raining. I still stayed in line under the rain. Around 10 p.m., we were finally seated at a table that had water dripping on it, and it was VERY cold. My friend and I ordered our food and also ordered a starter. They said they were going to bring it, but they didn’t. Then we had to ask again, and they still didn’t bring it. The food arrived, my friend ate her dish, and only after that they came to say that they actually didn’t have the starter anymore. Besides that we asked to sit inside the restaurant because we had seen there were many empty tables available (around 22h40 already). It was raining and cold outside, you know? but they simply didn’t seat us inside. I don’t know why, maybe they just didn’t want to. Because of this whole experience, I can’t give the restaurant a good review. They simply refused to seat us inside even though it was cold and raining. The food was nothing special, just average. The prices were fair. They charge 2 euros for a bottle of water that it is clearly tap water. The price of the wine is fair.

Best restaurant in Rome by far. A little further from the center, but totally worth it! Everything is excellent. The carbonara, cacio, and peas were the best of the trip, and we tried MANY.
