We had lunch at Ristorante Valenza, and the experience was flawless from start to finish. The owner is a wonderful person: welcoming, friendly, and able to make you feel at home right away—a rare and precious quality these days. Classic Piedmontese cuisine. While the first courses are impressive, the second courses and side dishes are the real stars: quality ingredients cooked with care, respecting the authentic flavors of the region. A special mention goes to their coffee: truly extraordinary and the perfect way to end a meal. The quality-price ratio is absolutely fair, considering the quality of the food and the courtesy of the service. Highly recommended for those seeking Turin tradition without frills but with plenty of substance. We'll definitely be back!

An authentic trattoria with good and affordable food in a very interesting popular neighborhood of Turin

An authentic place that has remained unchanged for 40 years. The food is good, comparable to that of a good bar-trattoria. When it's crowded, the service is very slow. The prices are appropriate for the dishes and the quality of the ingredients. The old Piole in Turin are very characteristic, but I often find that the true quality of the food and service is overestimated.

Excellent food, the owner is super welcoming and knows exactly what to recommend. It's a great place to stop for a quick bite while visiting the Balon in Turin. The trattoria is very quaint and gives it a homey feel. I'll definitely be back.

This place has the charm of an old-fashioned trattoria (though I expected the vaunted checkered tablecloths to be made of fabric, not paper). Friendly owners. Very tasty dishes. Good value.

A charming place with an old-world atmosphere, good food, and a friendly owner. It's a shame that when you actually pay, the price gets a bit steep (...we noticed it later, given the atmosphere of the evening). Could it be a coincidence? But... it's still not as cheap as it seems on the menu... usual story, in the end, you order a dessert and a liqueur and they'll give you a chestnut.

Excellent, popular Piedmontese trattoria with friendly staff. A spectacular host and sister who will make you feel at home. Everything is delicious and reasonably priced. Don't miss the cotechino with mashed potatoes. We highly recommend finishing your dinner with their special coffee and a smile.

A typical little trattoria. Delicious, unpretentious dishes, pleasant and relaxed service. Good wine by the carafe. Children are very welcome. All this for a very reasonable price. Just the kind of place we love.
