We arrived without a reservation on a friend's recommendation. Even though it was very busy, they did their best to accommodate me and my friends. The food and wine were excellent. I highly recommend the carbonara. I left Rome with a very good feeling!

We came to this delightful, authentic Italian restaurant on our last day of holiday. This is a family run , traditional trattoria - the food was amazingly delicious and the owners very warm and friendly. Just to clarify, we checked both the Italian and English menu boards and they are identical. We highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for an authentic Italian restaurant frequented by local Italian people.

Very tasty, authentic food, unfortunately, as a tourist you're seated in a different area than the Italians and served rather quickly. Nevertheless, the food is delicious and the service is okay!

Both the owner and his niece welcomed us on a busy evening and left nothing to chance. We stumbled upon it by chance one evening on our way back from our visit to the city. We wanted to try the traditional cuisine, and it was an excellent choice. Rigatoni all'amatriciana, saltimbocca, oxtail stew, sautéed broccoli, and puntarelle! Everything was delicious! Very kind and welcoming. I highly recommend it! And thank you for your hospitality.

11/01/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant near the tomb of Cecilia Metella and rediscovered the unique atmosphere of ancient Rome, both in the delicious dishes revisited according to the recipes of the ancient chef Apicius, and in the superlative hospitality of Paolo (the host) and his staff.
27/12/2025: My family and I had a pleasant time at the restaurant. The chef was very kind and friendly. We loved the food and the atmosphere. The next time I’m in Rome, I will definitely be back. 🙂

08/03/2026: One of the best restaurants in Rome! Giuseppe will welcome you in Italian, English, or French, to introduce you to his wonderful seasonal cuisine and fine wines. Reservations are essential as it's very popular! Don't miss the saltimbocca and the truffle pasta. Highly recommended!
