Went for dinner. A historic Roman trattoria that hasn't succumbed to the tourist craze and has maintained the spirit and cuisine of traditional Roman cuisine. The menu offers a variety of options, written on a blackboard that moves between the marble-topped wooden tables. The flavors of the dishes we ordered reminded me of Sunday lunches at home. Some of the desserts are homemade; we had tiramisu and strawberry cream, but while they were delicious, I found them too sweet. The service is a bit unique, but always helpful and friendly. Good value considering the area.

We went to this restaurant unexpectedly. The prices are affordable for Rome if you want a decent meal, but if you want to really indulge, it's a bit more expensive than expected.
The food was very good, and the soups were delivered quickly and surprisingly well prepared.
What we liked most about the Trattoria was Valentino himself. With his warm and friendly manner, he makes your experience enjoyable and fun. He speaks English and Spanish. If you're lucky, he might even play a little guitar for you.

I really enjoyed my solo dinner here. I arrived right around opening and there were already a few people. It has a very cozy vibe. The menu was on a blackboard that they brought to your table. I had the Caprese salad, it was the best I’ve had in Italy so far. The chicken with red peppers was also fantastic. Really good service and reasonably priced, I would for sure return!
