Had dinner on Thursday 16/10 and luckily found a place... Ligurian-style octopus, black and white gnocchi with fish ragù and... stuffed anchovies... top, very fair price and very attentive and courteous staff.

Ugo is always a guarantee. When our Tuscan friends come to visit, we always go here because it's a great place and the food is divine. Last week was no exception. Fettuccine with pesto, amazing stuffed anchovies, excellent fried fish. Sacripantina and Camatti to top off a fantastic dinner. Fair prices!

Do I need to add more to the other reviews? It is a great traditional trattoria. When I was there for lunch it appeared that we were the only tourists. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. The pesto lived up to the hype. It was mild and fresh. We bought some takeaway across the lane for dinner. The baked baccala was homely and not too salty. The kids had Milanese (veal snitz in Aussie) which they enjoyed but thankfully they still rate dad's version. The deserts were all good especially including some traditional Genovese offerings. Perfect lunch in a fantastic city.

A typical old Genoese restaurant. The menu offers a wide variety of traditional dishes. Excellent service, friendly staff, highly recommended. Reservations are recommended; it's very popular.

A must-see in Genoa. A very quaint place with incredibly friendly staff; they even managed to get us a table even though we hadn't booked for lunch. The pesto with mandilli and the pickled anchovies were truly delicious. The idea of the refrigerated kit for taking pesto on the go is also excellent!

Historic trattoria in the alleys, very elegant, the food is delicious. Prices are fairly moderate and within the norm.
The pesto is super good, as is the tartare.
The staff is friendly and the service is fast!
My only small tip: when you bring the bread, bring a few extra slices 🤣 there were three slices for each... and there were two of us, so you didn't even have the joy of mopping up the bread properly.
The place is always crowded, in fact, with so many people, you can't control the loudness of others. But it's not annoying; you can still hear and talk.
It's best to book a little in advance.

Ottima esperienza fatta in questa tipica osteria genovese.
Siamo in quattro, dopo una calda accoglienza ,abbiamo preso ottime taglioline al pesto e pansoti alla salsa di noci.
Per non dispiacersi abbiamo preso tortelli alle erbette piccanti,ma i pezzi forti li avevamo già divorati.
Lo consigli a tutti.

Sono un frequentatore abituale da molti anni. Siamo alla terza generazione famigliare ma il dna è sempre lo stesso. Ottimo ristante rappresentante la tradizione della cucina genovese. Lo consiglio caldamente è un giudizio stra meritato
