Great food and a pleasant atmosphere with friendly service. The food was ready relatively quickly, even though it was full. We came without a reservation for dinner, but the place filled up pretty quickly, so it might be better to make one or come at a good time.

The service was fantastic; they served us quickly and were very friendly. We ordered two tortellini with truffle and cheese, and they were SPECTACULAR. The tiramisu was also delicious, and it wasn't very busy for lunchtime. I would definitely recommend it 100%!

We visited twice during our holiday in Bologna as we enjoyed the food so much. There were several vegetarian options, with the onion stew (either as a starter or with pasta as a main course) being a highlight. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the service was quick. A bit of a hidden gem, a couple of minutes away from the crowds.

A wonderful place, offering only homemade dishes, fresh, and locally sourced produce. Many local customers are a sign of quality. For tagliatelle ragu and a veal tagliata (exceptional and generous), a dessert, and two glasses of wine, we spent €57. Who can beat that?

Trattoria informale a base di piatti della tradizione regionale. Ottimi i tortellini in brodo, che non possono mai mancare tutte le volte che passo da Bologna, fantastica la torta di riso. Prezzi giusti per quello che abbiamo mangiato ma, unica nota negativa, il servizio troppo lento.

Pranzo della domenica, tardi perché non avevamo fame all' orario convenuto, e anche Bologna è Italia ed è difficile mangiare fuori orario. Ma qui si può! Alle 16 ci hanno servito, oltretutto anche veloci perché a quell' ora non c' era quasi nessuno. Abbiamo mangiato bene (il brodo solo non era nulla di che, ma i tortellini speciali!), passatelli con tanto tartufo e torta di riso che sembrava appena fatta

03/09/2025: San Silvestro in Cantina is one of my favorite restaurants. It's in a perfect location in Bologna, right in the center of Piazza Minghetti. The food is excellent, and the staff is incredibly kind, professional, and incredibly welcoming. Highly recommended!
