I happened upon this place because it was the ONLY restaurant I found open on a January Monday in Orvieto (I walked to 10 other closed locations that were “open” on Google hours). The dining room seemed a little odd, but once I went to the bathroom and saw the incredible patio through the restaurant, I would have much preferred to be seated there. It was not mentioned to me, although I was the only patron in the restaurant when I arrived.
As for the food, I was blown away. The Amantriciana with Umbricelli was unlike any I’ve had. Delicious. The house focaccia and loaf were exceptional. I also bake long-ferment sourdough and know a good one when I get one. Tiramisu was interesting, crunchy cookies in the bottom with no coffee flavor, but perfectly not too sweet. As the restaurant filled in, I noticed many people were getting the artichoke and cod appetizer dish, wish I would have added to my order had I more room. People were licking their lips. I may go back for the diaphragm and shrimp bone marrow dish. Brava!

Excellent location, center of Orvieto. Decent service, not very attentive. Pasta with meat sauce good but a little bland. The cutting boards are really excellent. Egg pasta and desserts are nothing special. It would be 3 and a half stars

Food is good (tiny portions) but service not so much. When we booked they told us that they had another reservation at 14:00 but once there they asked us to leave at 13:30. They only have one tiny bathroom and there was always a queue. All in all didn’t like the experience.

Reading other reviews I agree with the very slow service. The night we came many items on menu were not available , with an already very limited menu . Surely not returning.
We later saw they charged us water twice . No biggy . Check yr receipt .

Cozy place, the girls are extremely friendly and attentive. Special foods: their sourdough bread, homemade pasta, sauces, oil!
Attention for those who are gluten intolerant... super! For my daughter gf tagliatelle cooked to perfection, dedicated hot loaves etc. A special "little place".

Bonne Trattoria dans le centre d’Orvieto, salle originale dans une verrière, le menu est un peu compliqué à suivre mais entre la version anglaise et italienne ons’en sort !

Partiamo dalla cantina: ottima selezione con etichette anche importanti.
Il giovane chef è molto bravo a proporre anche abbinamenti azzardati ma, ben riusciti. Il locale è molto carino e ben curato. Torneremo per certo prima della fine della vacanza.
