We came from Madrid, the hotel recommended this place to us, we returned because we loved it, homemade food, magnificent carbonara and unbeatable service, we will return more times

We've been frequenting it for years and it's always a certainty. Varied menu, with many traditional Roman dishes, all delicious. Furthermore, the kindness and friendliness of the owners make this restaurant an ideal place to spend a very pleasant and tasty evening.

Typical Roman restaurant where you can taste typical cuisine. The menu is quite varied and features typical Roman pasta and meat products. Simple location without too many pretensions and quick service. I recommend booking, because it is often full. Good carbonara, not too liquid and normal pasta. Tasty meatballs, just a little too tough. Average tiramisu.

Trattorie “romane”, a Roma, ce ne sono molte. Per lo più stanno in centro o in luoghi dove c’è passaggio di turisti. Poi ci sono quelle di periferia, quelle dov’è ti portano, quelle che trovi per caso e dove difficilmente trovi orde di turisti affamati e pronti a “bersi” la romanità a colpi di stornelli e tovaglie a quadretti. Qui, anche, c’è la immancabile tovaglia a quadretti bianchi e rossi; qui c’è l’immancabile oste di dimensioni smisurate che ti accoglie come se ti conoscesse da anni. Ma, qui c’è soprattutto il “saper cucinare”. E non è da tutti. Indirizzo da segnare se si vuole mangiare carbonara, cacio e pepe, fettuccine, carciofi, trippa (morbidissima), fagioli e cotiche, saltimbocca ecc ecc.

Beh! Fermato per caso con mia moglie, gentilissimo il proprietario e la cameriera che ci ha serviti e coccolati, la migliore cacio e pepe della mia vita! Bilanciata e perfetta! Anche i ravioloni cacio pepe e funghi porcini speciali! Patate al forno straordinarie, buone e dolcissime. Polpette buone e vino sangiovese. Conto corretto nel rapporto qualità prezzo, da tornarci e provare la Matriciana e la Carbonara. Grazie di tutto! A presto!

22/01/2025: Osteria del velodromo and also the "old" family-run neighborhood trattoria, which offers typical dishes of Roman cuisine (and not only), slightly revisited. The owners are kind, courteous and make the environment anything but formal, where you can still have a chat and the chef comes to the table to introduce himself. The dishes are plentiful and the starters very tasty. We started with a plate of 4 bruschettas with chicory and egg...delicious. on Fridays they also serve seafood dishes but we preferred the Roman cuisine, continuing with a good carbonara, excellent Roman tripe and stuffed rolls, concluding with two tasty Roman artichokes. In the end, an appetizer, two first courses and two second courses, a side dish and a bottle of 2017 wine, we ended the evening with a bill of 84.00 euros, a glass of grappa and one of an excellent artisanal amaro, kindly offered. For those interested in taking a nice walk after the binge, about ten minutes away on foot there is the splendid Cappellolla park... to swallow a bite. we will be back.

10/12/2024: Like at home...food for 10...for 9...reservations are recommended...unbeatable service (the waiter served us in perfect Spanish)....great Roman atmosphere...no need to throw away the coin to the fountain to return to Rome...if you eat here...you come back...thank you very much
05/12/2024: This is an excellent restaurant it has that ambience of people who care about customers. The food is great all our dishes we had were very good get there early to get a table.
