Typical Roman trattoria with around thirty seats. Roman cuisine with Roman chefs. Lamb with finger-licking potatoes and superb cacio e pepe. Boris the owner makes you feel at home. Definitely worth trying!

The menu is written on the blackboard and changes seasonally. I really appreciated the appetizers, the fried artichokes and chicory with anchovies were excellent (the sauce was delicious!)
Tonnarelli with pecorino, artichokes and bacon were tasty, but a bit dry. Overall this place offers excellent value for money, I will return

Trattorie “romane”, a Roma, ce ne sono molte. Per lo più stanno in centro o in luoghi dove c’è passaggio di turisti. Poi ci sono quelle di periferia, quelle dov’è ti portano, quelle che trovi per caso e dove difficilmente trovi orde di turisti affamati e pronti a “bersi” la romanità a colpi di stornelli e tovaglie a quadretti.
Qui, anche, c’è la immancabile tovaglia a quadretti bianchi e rossi; qui c’è l’immancabile oste di dimensioni smisurate che ti accoglie come se ti conoscesse da anni.
Ma, qui c’è soprattutto il “saper cucinare”.
E non è da tutti.
Indirizzo da segnare se si vuole mangiare carbonara, cacio e pepe, fettuccine, carciofi, trippa (morbidissima), fagioli e cotiche, saltimbocca ecc ecc.

Beh! Fermato per caso con mia moglie, gentilissimo il proprietario e la cameriera che ci ha serviti e coccolati, la migliore cacio e pepe della mia vita! Bilanciata e perfetta! Anche i ravioloni cacio pepe e funghi porcini speciali! Patate al forno straordinarie, buone e dolcissime.
Polpette buone e vino sangiovese.
Conto corretto nel rapporto qualità prezzo, da tornarci e provare la Matriciana e la Carbonara.
