Found by chance during a trip to Oltrepo, this no-frills, all-substance trattoria is perfect for a hearty, relaxed meal. Excellent value: the cold cuts appetizer, tagliatelle with mushrooms, and tender roast veal with baked potatoes. Everything was delicious, as was the local Barbera.

We stumbled upon this little trattoria by chance. As soon as we sat down, we ordered drinks, and the appetizers arrived right away without us ordering anything. We asked how it worked, and they explained that it was a fixed menu, and you ate the special of the day! We ate everything, which was very good, plentiful, and varied. The staff were friendly, and the diners were pleasant and welcoming. A beautiful, simple, and homey atmosphere. Excellent value considering the quantity and quality!

12/01/2026: This restaurant is located in the square in front of the town hall. We sat in a very comfortable and warm dining room. The fixed menu offers clear prices: a full meal costs €40, or €35 without a main course. When I say full, I mean a traditional hot and cold appetizer, two generous and delicious first courses, an optional second course (we didn't order one; it would have been too much), homemade dessert, water, unlimited wine, coffee, and the kindness of Giovanna and her mother, who are truly helpful. Definitely worth a try; you'll feel right at home.

19/06/2026: I had lunch with my husband and daughter during a day of leisure in Pavia. I found this osteria online based on reviews that mentioned it as a good place, and I must confirm that it truly is. The interior is stunning, spread across two floors, and we'll definitely be back. We had lunch outside with the €10 menu, which includes a choice of first course, second course with side dish, water, and coffee. Everything was delicious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
