This was recommended by a local. It's a small place running (probably) by the family circles. The menu is simple and doesn't provide many selections like others. It's by reservation only and the guests get serve by waves. This means that everyone goes in at certain time and everyone leaves after a meal period. The next wave will be served after the tables are cleaned and set up. We ordered the 1kg T-bone, the butter chicken, and a pasta to share. The T-bone aged very good, fats removed, cooked just as requested, and it tasted like a premium steak. However, it lookes smaller than the 1kg that I had at the other restaurant. The butter chicken comes in 2 pieces with a lot of tenderness and juice. The pasta is just like a homecooking style, small portion and simple.
The cake is unlike regular retail cake piece. It's not overwhelmingly good.
Again, it maybe just a small Italian Mom & Pop eatery with no fancy decorations and menu. The price is reasonable for a small eatery.

The service and friendly staff were great. The steak was very good in appearance and presentation, but it was so tough we had a hard time eating it.

I was in Florence at the beginning of April and snagged a table by chance. Guests were constantly calling to reserve a table or came in and were turned away because there was no room. Therefore, I would recommend making a reservation. The waiters were very friendly and charming, welcoming. The food was fantastic and a must-try in Florence.

An absolutely wonderful experience. Place is family owned. Nothing fancy inside. Just pride and love of their food made. Alessio was wonderful and quite funny when taking our orders.
The butter chicken was incredible.
One of our best meals in Firenze.

Trattoria storica, anche nell'aspetto. Cucina a vista in spazi minuscoli. Pareti foderate di piastrelle bianche. Ci si siede accanto a persone sconosciute, tutti allo stesso tavolo, il che può essere occasione di socializzazione. Cucina poco toscana, prevalgono caratteristiche emiliane. Buoni i tortellini, ormai iconico il petto di pollo, l'uso del burro prevale sull'olio. Imperdibile la torta finale con fragole e panna, servita in fette di generose dimensioni. Nell'insieme non male. Ma la cucina fiorentina è altrove.
