Very good food. We had the tortellini with meat sauce and in chicken broth. Both were outstanding.

The restaurant is wonderful! I recommend sharing the butter chicken for two and ordering the beans in tomato sauce as a side. It's a perfect combination! Plus, the meringue cake tastes like everything good in the world. It's a must-try! I just recommend patience to get a table. I tried to reserve by email and got no response, and my phone calls were also unsuccessful. I was first in line, arriving at 11:50 AM, waited until 12:30 PM (opening time), and was lucky to get a table! I tried to reserve for the next day, already on site, and they were booked all week, all times. You have to be lucky!

We had such a lovely lunch here, everything from the primi to the dolci was superb. Love how tender and tasty the chicken breast in butter was. The service was also fast and excellent. Can’t wait to go back!

OMG if you are in Florence, you have to come to Trattoria Sostanza for dinner - the food and service are absolutely amazing and you see a lot of locals also dining there as well and I can see why! The restaurant opens and immediately there is a line that forms outside. You have to have a reservation or you are not getting a table as the restaurant is very small. There are two seating times for dinners, one at 7 and one at 9:30 PM, nothing else. And you are seated in large family size tables, so you will most likely be sharing the table with someone else or a couple of parties. The servers are all so friendly and offer to answer any questions you may have about the menu. We ordered a bottle of wine to start with a good selection all at good prices. We started with the Tuscan crostini (each for 4 Euros), and then got the pasta with meat sauce (12 Euros), Tortellini in Chicken broth (13 Euros) and the butter chicken to share (23 Euros). All food is very simple, but OMG the quality is amazing and everything was fresh and flavorful. For dessert we got the dessert (meringue with strawberries) for 11 Euros which is a must get as well. If you're in Florence, definitely stop in, you'll be glad you did!

There’s not much to say — it’s simply sublime. By far the best Italian restaurant experience we had during our trip to Italy. The cooking is simple, BUT! Don’t let simple mislead you — it’s actually the most difficult thing to do well. In most places, they hide low-quality ingredients behind smoke and mirrors, but not here. All the ingredients are top quality. We’ve been here for one lunch and one dinner, and none of the dishes disappointed. My absolute favourite was the omelette with artichokes and the chicken breast cooked in butter. It might sound silly — I would never normally order chicken breast anywhere — but this dish was marvellous. A tender yet juicy chicken breast, cooked perfectly, is one of the most challenging things to achieve. The bistecca was fantastic. The green beans and the white beans too — the list could go on and on. To be fair, every little detail was just right. I rarely say fantastic, but this was it. I’d highly recommend it to everyone. The only downside is that you have to book well in advance. Otherwise… if you’re in Florence, don’t miss it.

Fiasco di vino della casa e gli immancabili salumi toscani accompagnati dai crostini per iniziare, se dovete andare in bagno non fatevi problemi si passa dalla cucina ahahah Carne Top Top

Suggerita da un amico è stata una piacevole scoperta, frequentata dai cittadini di Firenze il petto di pollo e la fiorentina sono le specialità di grande qualità personale molto gentile pochi posti meglio sempre prenotare e non ultimo un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Ritorneremo.
