The food was delicious, but it felt like I had traveled back in time to old Tuscany.
The seats were always full and noisy, making you feel like you were in a scene from a movie.
The service is nice and the sense of distance is great.
When we found out we were Japanese
I felt like I was treated with great care.
I was grateful that the person who went first must have behaved better.
I think it's difficult to make a reservation, but it's a restaurant you definitely want to visit.

Simply excellent. I could not have been happier with my lunch at Sostanza! Even if at first I had to convince my partner that the "boring looking" chicken is worth trying, he was shortly proven why this dish is loved by everyone. The recipe is perfect. Their meringue dessert with fresh fruit is also a great option as it fulfills the sweet craving whilst still being light and fresh.

I visited after making a reservation via email two weeks in advance.
I visited many famous restaurants during my trip to Italy, but this one was so delicious that it was competing for first and second place!

I believe the menu was only in Italian, so I showed them the photo that someone else had posted before and ordered.
Everything tasted really good, the texture of the chicken was so good that I wanted to know how they got it so tender, and the butter sauce was delicious.
My favorite part was the cake. Even though I was full, I ordered one plate to share with the group, and it wasn't heavy and the sweetness was perfect, so I could have easily eaten one more plate. This is recommended for everyone except those who don't like sweets.
The clerk was also very friendly and seemed to understand a little bit of Japanese.
This is a store I definitely want to visit again.
When I finished eating and left the restaurant, there were quite a few people lined up (maybe people making reservations for the next time?), so I think it's better to make a reservation.
This restaurant in Florence, which is full of T-bone steaks, is actually famous for its butter chicken. The appetizer is Crostini covered with chicken liver pate. The chicken liver pate is very fragrant. The first main dish I ordered was cream dumplings (Tortellini al burro). My husband ordered minestrone di pasta. Mine was not amazing but not delicious. My husband ordered white bean soup and it was amazing. The soup made from ground beans is very smooth when added to macaroni. The soup tastes much better).
The second staple dish is of course butter chicken. When the butter chicken was served, it was squeaking in the iron pan. The skin of the chicken breast was fried to a crispy texture. The chicken was not greasy at all when eaten with melted butter. It was the best chicken breast I have ever eaten.
For dessert, you must order the strawberry cake. The strawberry cake is made of meringue and cream and is paired with wild strawberries. The meringue is not as sweet as what is sold in the market, and paired with the slightly sour wild strawberries, it tastes like a perfect ending.
It is strongly recommended to make a reservation first.

Absolutely lovely experience and very tasty food. The service and the food are more than excellent. You really notice how authentically the restaurant is run. There's certainly a lot of heart and skill behind it, highly recommended.

Suggerita da un amico è stata una piacevole scoperta, frequentata dai cittadini di Firenze il petto di pollo e la fiorentina sono le specialità di grande qualità personale molto gentile pochi posti meglio sempre prenotare e non ultimo un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Ritorneremo.

We hebben hier een heerlijke lunch genoten. Antipasti, tortellini in boter en de beroemde taart als nagerecht. Alles was van goede kwaliteit en lekker vers. De bediening was perfect, de inrichting gezellig en de prijs/ kwaliteit verhouding prima. Als ik in de buurt woonde zou ik hier minimaal 1 x per week gaan eten.
