We've been frequenting this place for years. We've always found the same kindness, honesty, and quality. It's one of the few trattorias left in Bologna that still maintains the values of the past: eating well and spending the right amount.

Bolognese trattoria with traditional dishes; we tried balanzoni with culatello, which was very good.
The cold cuts were good, but the portions were small, unfortunately.
The crescentine were strange; they were never made like a ring, and they were also not very good, too greasy.
The place was packed and very noisy.

My experience at Ristorante Sandoni in San Lazzaro was overall decent, but not up to expectations.
The atmosphere is elegant and the staff friendly, but the overall quality of the dishes and the value for money didn't seem right.
We ordered pumpkin ravioli, a trio of first courses, and the sliced beef. We were assured that a side dish would be included: indeed, it was, but the portion of potatoes was rather small. The desserts also didn't leave a lasting impression, being fairly ordinary.
Overall, a dinner without any serious negatives, but also without any elements that made it memorable.
