Trattoria San Sisto In Bologna

After 3 failed reservation attempts because the place was fully booked, I finally ate at this trattoria, and it was definitely worth the wait. A grilled fillet I've never had in my entire life—calling it fantastic doesn't do it justice. The meat melted in your mouth, cooked to perfection, with sublimely cooked baked potatoes (and that's not something you find everywhere). Pappardelle with wild boar, or rather, wild boar ragù with pappardelle, considering the amount of sauce, was exceptional!!! And the desserts... I'd go back just for those... fresh and expertly made. In short, all the ingredients are top-quality, and I can't wait to return to try more... Prices are a bit high, but consistent with the quality of the ingredients. Highly recommended.

A trattoria serving home-style cuisine. I ate here for a business lunch and everything was perfect. The portions are generous and the service good. The only downside is that it's quite noisy.

Excellent food, attentive service, and a refined atmosphere. Unfortunately, the room where we dined was noisy due to diners who were decidedly out of touch with the restaurant. I recommend the gramigna with sausage and picanha.

A historic and charming trattoria, so popular that it's practically unapproachable without a reservation. The service is typical of a trattoria, though precise and punctual: they know people are back at work for lunch and try to serve quickly. I had an 800g tagliata of average quality; honestly, given my expectations, I expected it to be better, although considering what you can find in Bologna, it's probably already very high quality. I've had experience in the Apennines, but it definitely beats the experience at this trattoria. Price is around €60 per person for that amount of meat, house wine, water, and coffee.

Excellence! S They truly specialize in grilled meats. We had a fabulous mixed charcoal grill, which was more than enough for two. It's a shame because they have a truly delicious variety of desserts, which I've enjoyed before, as well as traditional Bolognese first courses. I return often. I highly recommend booking for weekday lunch, too.

Impeccable meat and excellent grilled food!! Quick and friendly service. The atmosphere is a bit noisy, dark, and cramped, but still warm and welcoming.

Returning often and willingly, always welcomed with welcome kindness, I immerse myself in a rustic place where the scent of grilled meat reigns supreme. Lots of dishes to taste and savor. Excellent service, truly recommended and visited. Large car park (always full). Reasonable prices linked to splendid quality. Compliments, to the staff and chefs. Highly recommended.
