Trattoria San Domenico In Ovada

Place in the historic center of Ovada, not an extraordinary location but the food is good and the prices are more than honest. The only flaw: they are closed in the evening, even on weekends. Absolutely recommended

The San Domenico restaurant is located in the historic center of Ovada, in the square from which it takes its name, we Ovada people call this square that of the Scoloppi, precisely from the Scoloppi fathers who are present in the church As for the restaurant, what can I say: excellent cuisine, excellent service and cleanliness, prices from times gone by. Today we ate ravioli di fish, stockfish with potatoes and a wonderful dark chocolate cake with a pinch of "sublime" chilli pepper; all washed down with a pretty good wine.

After an occasional visit to the city (we will return) Veronica and I went in for lunch. It was very crowded, however, we were welcomed very well; the explanation for the full house is due to the small size of the place, but above all to the goodness of the dishes (also well presented). Served after a short wait, we really enjoyed them! For guys like us, who are more interested in the content of the ceremony, this place is perfect; Not insignificant, even the desserts, which are homemade: highly recommended! As for the dishes, if you can, come back often and try them all (me, a vegetarian, just some).

Good food and good service! You can make a full menu or half a menu. The eggplant parmigiana dish was delicious. If we pass through Ovada again, we will repeat.

All’ombra di San Domenico la trattoria omonima, nella bella piazzetta di Ovada, offre una buona e semplice soluzione come si addice ad una buona tavola familiare. Merita di accomodarsi e gustare la cucina economica ma anche gustosa. Mad@Gius

questo posto è ottimo, ottimi piatti, materie prime di qualità e personale presente ed educato. é accessibile ai cani anche non avendo uno spazio elevato, ma non ho avuto nessun problema pure per questo punto. sicuramente tornerò!
