After a while away, we dined at San Carlo again... every time they give us a great reason to return! We enjoyed the maltagliati with calamari and the ravioli al tucco, the leek flan and the Fassona tartare, and finally, we couldn't resist the fritters with raisins... a joy for the palate! Everything was always delicious and with great attention to detail... and I don't want to forget their comment on the bread, which makes you want to take some home! A not-to-be-missed detail: an impeccable bathroom; and if it's true that the bathroom's condition matches that of the kitchen, we're fine! One piece of advice: book!

A completely untouristy restaurant right in the city center. The pesto picagge and cod are excellent. My friend had the tagliolini with mussels and bottarga and the anchovies: everything delicious. Impeccable service, a relaxing atmosphere with pleasant background music, and a spotless bathroom. Definitely worth a visit and a return visit.

Came here solo as on travel to Genova on business orders.
It’s never optimal to go solo to a nice restaurant on a Saturday night when the dining room is full of couples and groups.
But it worked well here. Waiter spoke English as well, so easy to communicate. Food and service was top notch. Would return anytime. Highly recommended.
