The food was absolutely spectacular. Amazing. I wanted a real authentic meal from the region and that's exactly what I had, although the personal didn't know any English, they tried their best to be kind and respectful and explain every as best as possible, coffee as also delicious! Amazing experience.

Stumbling upon this trattoria by chance was one of the nicest surprises of recent times. It's one of those places where time seems to have stood still in the right way: elegant, retro decor, soft lighting, and an elegant yet unpretentious atmosphere. A true trattoria "like it used to be," frequented primarily by locals (a great sign). The staff deserves special mention: kind, attentive, never intrusive. They have that genuine attention that's rarely found these days. One example: without us asking, they brought small cutlery and a small plate for our daughter, knowing we'd probably share her dish. Little things that speak to the level of care. The menu isn't overly extensive, which I consider a great asset: just a few dishes, but really well-made. We had the risotto and tagliatelle with ragù, which were simply exceptional. The ragù was truly well-made, flavorful yet balanced, something increasingly rare. You can clearly sense the attention and respect shown in the kitchen for the dishes and the ingredients. Prices are absolutely in line with the quality and the type of establishment. Places like this truly deserve to have a large clientele. We'll definitely be back at the first opportunity.

The place fills with voices and people. The atmosphere is that of old Milan! Lunch: a €13 menu (first course, second course, side dish) is an act of economic resistance in a city where a sandwich costs twice as much. But the real surprise isn't the price: it's the quality. I order spaghetti carbonara. It arrives perfectly creamed: creamy, enveloping, with crispy bacon and that rounded flavor. For the main course, grilled tomino cheese with buttered spinach. The cheese is golden brown, melted under the knife, accompanied by spinach that tastes like home cooking. I pair it with a glass of Gemei, a light and drinkable red. The staff Fast, kind, professional. They know what they're doing, they've been doing it for years, they don't need to explain it to you. The wine list: the hidden soul!!! Conclusion Trattoria San Martino is a bastion of gastronomic civilization. It's the place where value for money is still sacred, where the cuisine doesn't lie, where lunch is a right and not a luxury. I'll be back!! I have to say I had one of the best experiences in Legnano at this restaurant. The service was impeccable (10/10) and the food delicious. My partner and I asked for a wine recommendation, and the waiter kindly suggested the best option, which turned out to be excellent. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back.
