"Good-style" trattoria, sincere trattoria like those of the past, at La Rosa you are at home while you heartily eat the classic Ligurian menu, the portions are generous, portions for travelers with few "musse"... people who are hungry and want to eat and drink good wine at will (included in the price). You leave reluctantly after paying a bill that is lower than what you would have spent at the supermarket to buy everything you ate and should have cooked. La Rosa is a time gap in the past, a past where in Genoa and throughout Liguria there were swarming trattorias managed by honest, enterprising and friendly people. The Rose is a Ligurian poem...perhaps the last.

I have been going to the trattoria for a few years now, with always good quality products from the mixed starter to the first course (ravioli with meat sauce, pansoti with walnut sauce, gnocchi or trofie with pesto) to the second courses, personally I prefer roast with baked potatoes and Ligurian rabbit.

Overall I gave four whys: homely place, average food, fair quality for the price. Get organized with parking and good food. Starter of mixed cold cuts, well-made farinata. First we took all the ravioli but, unlike a few months ago, which were homemade, these seemed to us to be the classic ravioli purchased in bulk and the seasoning was not very generous. Second course is the kid with baked potatoes. The Catalan cream is excellent. I recommend curtains, shutters or something else to protect from the sun, it was too hot. In total they spent 20 euros each including wine. We will be back.

Siamo capitati per caso una sera di 2 anni e fa e ora ogni volta che andiamo al mare è diventata una tappa fissa. Si possono mangiare pansotti, tagliatelle e ravioli con sugo di noci, pesto (fatto dal proprietario) o ragù... Uno più buono dell'altro. Dovete assaggiare anche la farinata, la pizzata, la pizza e l'insalata russa. Lo consiglio vivamente.

I ate several times in this cheerful restaurant, both for lunch and dinner. The "flaw" is the inconsistent quality, which varies from "this is the last time I'll come here" to "It's unbeatable". It is therefore not surprising to read conflicting reviews.
But every comment, even the most negative, should take into account the price paid: if you are served poorly, by a bungling waiter (waiter?) and you wanted to see a rich menu and instead you have to forcibly settle for ravioli and sausage with potatoes, you obviously think about it. a negative review. But if all this costs you €10 each including water, wine and coffee, it would be correct to avoid doing it, so I give it 5 stars, encouraging the friendly owner to try to keep the quality of the proposed offer constant over time.
