Trattoria Romantica In Catania

We spontaneously chose the restaurant after our city tour, which was outside of normal business hours in the afternoon, and the restaurant was still empty. We were greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff. We ordered Norma and San Daniela pizzas, as well as spaghetti Bolognese and a meat platter (sausage, ribs, and roast meat with a side dish) because vacation is nice, but "bratwurst is bratwurst" 😄 The pizza dough was very good, and both were cooked to perfection. The meat was super juicy and tender, and the spaghetti was just as delicious. The white wine paired perfectly with the pizzas. Overall, we were very pleasantly surprised. We would recommend it 👍

Some of the best pizza, pasta and cannoli I have tried. Our third time back in 2 days and it has been excellent every time. The tomato sauce in the pizza is the best I have had.

We stopped by looking for a quick bite, lured by the deal of an aperol spritz and margherita pizza for only 7 euros. That and the friendly daughter who was standing on the main road, inviting us over and showing us the menu. Family owned place, no frills, and off the busy Via Etna, so a bit calmer. Would highly recommend.

The menu is pretty "for everyone", apart from "posh" seekers. Very tasty food for affordable prices - finally NOT a tourist trap. Very friendly and nice waitress, good service 🤌👍👍👍 all this - right in the center of Catania. We were here twice. 👏
