We had an impeccable lunch at Trattoria Roma, an absolute must-try in the heart of Cuneo. After a stroll around the city, we stopped here, and it was a perfect choice. The meal starts off well with excellent bread and breadsticks, a sign of attention to even the simplest details. The vitello tonnato is one of the best we've tasted: incredibly tender meat, a balanced, creamy yet unobtrusive sauce. The hot dish is also excellent, comforting and carefully prepared, a perfect example of Piedmontese cuisine done properly, without frills but with great technique and respect for tradition. The service is friendly, professional, and never rushed, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the atmosphere is authentic, like that of a true trattoria—something that's becoming increasingly rare these days. The food here is truly excellent, with quality ingredients and generous portions, leaving you satisfied and smiling. A place to keep in mind and recommend without hesitation to anyone passing through Cuneo. We'll definitely be back. Congratulations!

Trattoria like it used to be, since 1939.
The photos on the website don't do this warm and welcoming place justice.
Family-run, with the owners always ready for a chat.
The tajarin with sausage ragù are highly recommended (I had seconds...) and the chocolate "bonet" dessert, a typical Piedmontese treat.
The original metal sign, dating back to 1939, is legendary.
Highly recommended. We'll be back.

I can't recommend it enough!
We ate divinely well. The 33-yolk tajarin, the plin with three roasts, and the veal with tuna sauce are definitely worth trying!
The desserts are also very good.
The service was attentive and courteous.

We visited this town for the first time and decided to try a local restaurant for lunch. We really enjoyed the food and were impressed by the excellent service. For dessert, I had coffee paired with the local chocolate, which was a delightful choice.

The "burnie" with artichokes and giardiniera were a surprise; the veal with tuna sauce was delicious; the tajarin with sausage sauce; and the vegetarian zucchini, canellini, and potato meatballs. The goat's milk ice cream with a hint of chestnut honey was truly unique. The owners were incredibly kind. This is our second visit when we're in the Cuneo area, and I think we'll definitely be back!
