An excellent appetizer of traditional Piacenza cured meats with "grasso pesto"! Followed by a delicious asparagus crepe, followed by a delicious tenerina cake, accompanied by an amazing Marsala zabaglione. The house Gutturnio and Dente di Leone liqueur were delicious!
The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff kind and friendly: a perfect evening!

Excellent restaurant with a business menu and an à la carte menu with good Piacenza cuisine. Good wine selection too. Fast and friendly service. Fair prices. Everything is ok. I'll gladly stop by when I can.

There's a fun game that's usually played among friends at the table. It starts with the appetizers. Ask each diner: "Do you prefer, I don't know, Russian salad or ham and melon?" And each person, depending on their tastes, answers, for example, "Russian salad." Then it continues: "Russian salad or Tuscan crostini?" "Tuscan crostini." And so on until everyone's favorite appetizer remains.
Then it's the first courses: "Lasagna Bolognese or bucatini alla amatriciana?"
Then meat main courses, then fish, then cheeses, then desserts.
Finally, we compare the chosen dishes among appetizers, first courses, second courses, and so on, until the absolute favorite remains. For me, it's the tortelli con le tail from Trattoria Regina.

I wasn't thrilled. The people were lovely, and the atmosphere was clean and unpretentious. We had an appetizer of three cold cuts for four to share, and three first courses.
The appetizers were limited in quantity, very limited for the price; they were good but not exceptional.
To give you an idea, the dish pictured was €42, plus €9 for the torta fritta.
The first courses were truly delicious; the tortelli were also few, not enough for the price, while I would have expected them to be good and in adequate quantities.
The final price was €107 for three appetizers and three first courses, with the tortelli being excellent, but it was unbalanced in terms of cost, ambiance, and quantity. From a typical trattoria, I expect less gourmet treatment and more affordable prices.

Well, what can I say about Trattoria Regina, a tradition for the people of Piacenza, a tradition for the owners, having been passed down from father to son (the mustache), and a tradition for me, who used to go there as a boy with my parents. From Quarto to Podenzano, the premises have improved, a bit more modern but still harking back to the past with paintings and photos of operas hanging on the walls. The large parking lot and visibility have improved, as it's on the road to Grazzano Visconti, a popular tourist destination. The quality of the traditional Piacenza cuisine remains, as does the friendliness and kindness of the owners, which is also reflected in the waiters. What can I recommend from the menu? The cured meats are excellent, along with the anolini, tortelli, and pisarei, all made according to Piacenza tradition. I particularly recommend the roast beef and cod in all their versions. As for the desserts, you decide, they're all good.
