I, who eat gluten free, and my partner headed to this cute place for lunch.
Nice place, Aosta Valley in the center of Aosta, just outside Porta Praetorio, on Castro Romano, which is the main street of Aosta today.
AIC certification (Italian celiac disease association), delicious dishes that are paid as normal dishes.
We will definitely be back!!

Highly recommended! Quality food. Exquisite dishes. Impeccable service. Carlotta excellent in the presentation of the dishes, in her courtesy and expressiveness. Compliments! Furthermore, almost the entire menu is also gluten-free...Spectacular!

Posizione centrale di Aosta, ambiente accogliente, staff gentile e veloce. Ottimi piatti della tradizione con una buona scelta dei vini. Consigliato.

Definitely good quality food, a pleasant evening at the end, the interaction with the waitress a bit particular, almost polemical about our choices and anxious to end the evening.
Overall, though, nice.

Personale accogliente e cura dell'ospitalità di famiglie con bimbi piccoli, piatti tipici della cucina valdostana e prezzi in fascia medio alta, comunque con prodotti di qualità

We found this place by chance while walking through the streets of the center of Aosta. The place looks very good, small but with tunnels that allow you to discover other rooms... in short, you'll find a place! (But I still recommend booking)
We started with a Rösti accompanied by lard and chestnuts and a vegetable pie with fondue, very good!
Then we had a fontina fondue with polenta accompanied by croutons and a polenta with very good braised meat! The bill is certainly not low but not too high either

Located next to the impressive Roman gate, this charming regional restaurant offers traditional dishes such as polenta, fontina cheese and game dishes from the Aosta Valley.
The atmosphere is just as inviting as the dishes (rustic & cozy). The service from reception to operation was very friendly and attentive.
As a starter, I recommend the Tagliere di salumi e formaggi tipici valdostani, a platter of local sausage and cheese specialties, or the famous La Fonduta, a creamy cheese fondue variation with fontina. For lovers of special flavors, the Lumache alla parigina (Parisian-style snails) are also a special recommendation.
Main courses include Carbonada valdostana con polenta, a slow-braised beef in red wine that impresses with its delicate texture and intense flavor.
Another highlight is the La Costata, a juicy ribeye steak grilled to perfection. This dish impresses with its tenderness.
For fans of meat dishes, the traditional Lo Tzigonier, where the focus is on the natural flavor of the veal on a skewer, is a must.
Finally, I recommend the dessert Il classico della Trattoria, a layer cake with a melt-in-the-mouth center that is the perfect end to a fantastic meal.
This restaurant is an absolute must for foodies and anyone who wants to experience the authentic cuisine of the Aosta Valley!
