09/03/2025: Very nice restaurant in Serpiolle, in an area surrounded by greenery a stone's throw from Careggi. Ample outdoor parking, tables both inside and outside on the veranda. For the outdoor tables, at this time of year, there are "mushrooms" for heating and in all cases you will be fine. We had lunch there today, but we already knew the place. We ordered two first courses and two second courses of meat, two desserts, wine, water and two coffees. Total cost of approximately €130. As first courses we tasted the paccheri with sausage ragù with black cabbage and the mezze sleeves rigate with ragù with broccoli and saffron. Both tasty and well cooked, pasta al dente. Followed by two cuts of beef, one seasoned with rocket and parmesan and the other with fondue and black truffle, accompanied by central roast potatoes. Finally the desserts, a tiramisu and an apple cake with ice cream. For wine we decided to try a bottle of local red, produced by the restaurant. All very good and I confirmed the positive opinion I already had of the place, even if this time I have to make two negative notes. The first is that you can't wait all that time to order and then to be served. I'm not saying do everything in a hurry, but maybe shorten the waiting times. On the second course, at 1.30pm several dishes were already out of order, including tagliolini with fresh artichokes and beef fillet (but how do you finish the fillet??). I had to divert my choice to other dishes.
07/03/2025: Beautiful welcoming location, we will certainly return in the summer because it has a beautiful terrace overlooking the entire plain of Florence. Very good food with a very interesting menu.
