Trattoria Pizzeria da Diego In Palazzolo sull'oglio

I finally managed to try the legendary Schiacciata, delicious and not at all heavy despite the super seasoning 💪🏻, I'll be back soon

Once back from the sea I call for two places plus the little girl, when we arrive they seat us at the table right outside the pizzeria and so far so good no problems also because having been a pizza chef for 15 years it's just a pleasure to see the work for me. I ask the waitress if it was possible to have the little girl bring a cutlet and chips because she couldn't wait any longer and in no time it arrived, thank you so much and it's delicious too, we order the pizzas and while we're eating I see the pizza chef right in front of the pizzeria eat two things left over from a chopping board of the stuff that is put out of cooking, let's say that you don't do it in the kitchen during a service, but actually put your thumb in your mouth and eat it with gusto, not even my two and a half year old daughter, pizzas taken put in the cardboard and take home for the dog because honestly who knows if it didn't happen like this before mine? I arrive at the checkout after I have paid, I say what has happened and I am told impossible. It doesn't matter, I paid what I had to pay, I certainly wasn't doing it for a discount or a free dinner. But I definitely don't think I'll go back. My former owners would have taken the pizza shovel from me and made me dream of many things.

What can I say, a more unique than rare, extraordinarily good dough

Very rustic place that perhaps needs some more maintenance and the installation of air conditioning!

Nice place near the castle also. The pizza lacks sauce, they swell the calzone with a straw.

Formidable! I went there after seeing a post on social media some time ago, being in the area I took advantage of it. The flattened pizza is served on a giant round cutting board, good 😋 very good, very light. I took some quality buffalo ingredients. Worth coming back even if I'm not on the road!

Sono andato da Diego sabato primo giugno a pranzo con un'amica. E' un pò che non tornavo qui... ambiente accogliente e clima amabile, si stava proprio bene. Abbiamo preso: "Tagliata di cavallo alla griglia con rucola e scaglie di Grana" e "Costolette d’agnello alla griglia con patate rustiche"... non c'è molto da dire... entrambi ECCELLENTI!! La tagliata era squisita: media cottura.. cotta sul bordo e bella rosa all'interno: tenerissima, che spettacolo! Quanto alle costolette, beh superlative!! cotte a puntino, con la carne che si scioglieva in bocca... una poesia per il palato!! Due ottimi calici di vino... e per finire due dolci: tortino di mele con gelato e croccantino all'amarena... molto buoni entrambi. Prezzi giusti, nulla da dire. Grazie Diego, ottimo lavoro.
