In tue Italian trattoria style, it offers homely Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, including pizza, seafood, and vegetarian options. The restaurant gets the nod for affordable prices, friendly staff, and cozy atmosphere. Their variety of dishes is refreshing with their pizzas being highly popular. I was impressed with the seafood offerings though with the baked fish, clam pasta and calamari coming out tops. Their lasagne is also very good as are the desserts. Their wine menu is also pretty extensive and they offer dining specials with a combined starter, mains and dessert to suit most budgets. Overall, we found Antico Gafaro to be pretty minimalistic on design and but a good, clean, welcoming spot for casual dining, especially if you're looking for a reasonably priced, hearty meal in Venice.
