Family lunch yesterday, December 8th. Fantastic location, on the hills overlooking Florence, just below Monte Morello. Warm and welcoming atmosphere with a beautiful garden and outdoor seating for warmer days. Simple but tasteful table setting. Attentive and very fast service. Recommended appetizers include mixed crostini and excellent Tuscan prosciutto. Among the first courses, the dish of the day was excellent: handmade tortelli filled with ricotta and yellow squash on a bed of taleggio cheese fondue. Less popular were the tagliolini with mushrooms, which weren't very flavorful, as were the tortelli mugellani with ragù. We opted for the house special: mixed fried chicken and (for a select few) rabbit with "ragnatela" (spider web), accompanied by mixed fried vegetables and hand-sliced ​​potatoes—delicious! The house wine and moka pot coffee were also good! We didn't try the desserts. A bit pricey, but considering the location, we expected it: €40 per person, including children.

I've been there several times over the years. I returned on Saturday and found it once again to be a charming place to have lunch in the shade of beautiful lime trees, with excellent food and impeccable service. It's always a pleasure.

It's a shame because the wine list is worth it. Otherwise, the staff was polite but cold. It was a really fast lunch, with the first course being cleared in installments, and the dishes were taken away to bring the second course while someone was still eating (not that it was taking half an hour, mind you). The snails were very good, and the "gran tagliere" appetizer was a plate with three slices of ham, four croutons, and two small pieces of cheese, all very, very bland. The fried food, which should be their specialty, was actually nothing special. In fact, the chicken and rabbit were very bland, and they weren't cooked properly because they were very greasy! Lastly, I can't stand reheated moka pot coffee. It's something I can't stand, especially at €2! ANSWER: I'm still pleased to see that the course worked. The friendship has arrived! And that's why I'm answering you... You've got your hands on two things that maybe future customers will benefit from improvements thanks to me... namely the cutting board, which now, having called me a liar because I don't have the photo (which fortunately, or unfortunately, I forgot to do), what do you plan to do?! Either increase the number of slices or remove "gran tagliere" from the menu because it's an objectively ridiculous title for what you get. The other thing is coffee... well, I hope you usually bring it directly to the table with a moka pot, because it arrives practically cold, but above all reheated because you can taste it very well when it's reheated. It might just be that this happened to me. Anyway, I remind you that I gave you three stars to let you know that there's a problem that maybe can be fixed. I still think criticism is constructive and always welcome. Evidently, you're not interested in pleasing the customer. So yes, taking the course was a great choice; it was money well spent! A welcoming, well-kept, and pleasant outdoor space, with a large tree at its heart. The city heat doesn't reach the trattoria. Dishes that are more difficult to find elsewhere.

02/01/2026: The atmosphere is exclusive and very intimate with excellent service. The dining experience was a little less positive, with limited choices: either a tasting menu (five courses or three courses). In my case, despite having previously reported a lactose intolerance (and the reservation requires a €100 credit card hold), upon arrival I was informed that the five-course menu was not available due to my intolerance, forcing me to choose the three-course menu, which, being very small, was not enough to qualify as a complete dinner. Overall, given the total cost, the variety of the menu, and the overall satisfaction, I would not recommend it.
17/11/2025: We ordered both the meat and fish courses separately. I think I ate six plates for over two hours, and they were so abundant that I wondered when they would end. The amuse-bouche was incredibly salty, but the other dishes were delicious. I also tried pigeon for the first time, and the sauce smelled a bit off-putting, but it was okay. The tiramisu was truly delicious. They asked for a tip when paying, which was a bit much, and since we live in a country where tipping isn't a culture, I felt a little bad about it.

18/02/2026: It's good to book in advance, because it's always full, but most of the customers are Florentines. Delicious food, wine too, super attentive waiters who make you feel at home, typical and classic Italian restaurant atmosphere. Large portions: many of them serve 2 people, so it's always good to ask or at least look at a nearby table. I ordered the breaded zucchini blossoms ("fiori di zucca fritti"), as I'm used to the standard in other restaurants in Italy, which serve 2 or 3 pieces. Well: 18 came!! But my companion and I didn't leave anything behind, because it was absurdly good. Desserts made in the restaurant itself; if it's still possible to eat something, you can't miss it.
16/02/2026: The best fillet steak in Florence. Food was absolutely amazing.
