Delightful place on the hills above Florence, still close to the city, therefore easily accessible. It feels great in the garden with the enchanting view. However, the food remains the main attraction, Tuscan food, the dish contained 8-10 tortelloni, almost double that of normal restaurants, the sauce was excellent. The cost of 3 courses with house wine still remains under €50 per person. Definitely just going back again.

Everything is really good even if for me the specialty remains the fried fish in the mains. In my opinion the only venial sin is the slightly too anxious service. You are asked too many times and too early if you like the food, if everything is fine, too much urgency even in collecting the dishes as soon as you finish consuming the dishes. In this way the gap between care for the customer and pressure on the customer risks becoming short. Apart from this it is a place to definitely return and to be recommended to those who love simple and traditional cuisine.

Conosciamo il posto da tantissimi anni . In estate migliore terrazza sopra Firenze d’inverno atmosfera magica. A parte il fritto per cui il il locale è famoso qui si mangia la migliore bistecca di Firenze !!

To end on a high note, after a wonderful Mugello tortello with ragù and a spectacular fried chicken and rabbit, a wonderful berry cheesecake could not be missing. The food on the hills is truly amazing. I definitely recommend it!!! 🥂🍾☀️🤗

06/05/2025: A truly memorable lunch! We have been several times already, and it never disappoints! The Osteria Porta del Chianti is a small jewel immersed in the tranquility of Falciani. The menu is a journey into the most authentic Tuscan flavors. We tasted several dishes and each one was a confirmation: tagliatelle with white ragù and porcini mushrooms, tortelli with wild boar ragù and tagliatelle with nana sauce – all excellent, with fresh pasta and rich seasonings. Among the second courses, the stew with vinsanto, the sliced ​​meat with lard and rosemary was tender and tasty, and the lamb chops cooked to perfection. The house red wine accompanies the whole meal very well, rounded and pleasant. Finally, the desserts: semifreddo with berries, tiramisu and grandmother's cake served warm - one better than the other, but grandmother's cake deserves a special mention: simply not to be missed! Warm welcome, rustic but refined environment, attentive service. Fair prices for the quality and quantity. Thanks to the owner Francesca!
