Trattoria Picchetto In Varese ligure

05/07/2025: We visited the restaurant, not the hotel. First of all: It's a lovely setting, and the short walk through the village to get there is really nice. The food was good, but not worth the asking price. We were really intrigued by the salad as a main course for €34 (!)... What arrived was a small green mixed salad. Barely bigger than a bowl of breakfast cereal. That was it. The service also didn't match the price. No explanation of the dishes was provided, no second glass of wine was offered, and no water was refilled. The "dessert menu" consisted only of different flavors of ice cream, two scoops for €8. Overall, a solid meal in lovely surroundings – if only it had cost 30% less.

18/06/2025: Ended up here based on Michelin website. Beautiful location right at the top of a mountain village. Friendly welcome. We order an aperitif. 2 minutes later our starter was on the table, the chef did not want to wait. Starter was tasty, main course absolutely not. Price quality insufficient. Unfortunately
