Trattoria Pennestri In Roma

We were here on December 27th and really enjoyed the place; it has a lovely atmosphere. The dishes they serve are a little more expensive than usual, but in my opinion, the combinations are still tasty. They serve Roman classics and other dishes we've encountered less frequently in Rome, but are still delicious. I highly recommend the herb frittata with mushrooms and the pasta with pajata and anchovy sauce. It's best to make a reservation because the place is very popular.

The atmosphere is quiet and elegant, yet not formal, and the service is efficient and discreet. The menu offers traditional Roman dishes (not exclusively meat-based) cooked to perfection. It's not cheap, but the price is reasonable.

Excellent prices and really high quality

Well known location for typical Roman food. We booked a table for two on the same day. The table was free and ready at the time of reservation. The restaurant was very busy but the service was quick and attentive. Very pleasant experience with Edoardo. He was impeccable, friendly and prepared. We had 2 starters, 2 mains, a shared dessert and a bottle of red Quine. Bill was 105 euros without service charge. Overall a great food experience. We stayed from 2PM (time of reservation) until 4:30PM. Nobody pushed us to leave or shown any kind of frustration. We absolutely loved the food and the experience.bi wouldn’t recommend for a romantic first date or the outside area (there are cars parked everywhere. Perfect with a friend, an informal lunch or a little group dining.

Very kind and attentive service, with good food. A great spot to enjoy a meal with your squad. It’s a very local place, full of character and sincerity. We’d love to come back again! P.S. Thanks to the team for seating us inside, even briefly, despite not having a reservation. We really appreciate it :)

El equipo de marido y mujer del chef Danés e Italiano Tommaso Pennestri y la camarera argentina Valeria Payero abrió Trattoria Pennestri en 2017 y rápidamente se labró una reputación de auténtica cocina Italiana mientras ganaba un premio Michelin Bib Gourmand en el camino. Situado en Via Giovanni the Empoli 5 , en el barrio del Mercado Tastaccio, en el corazón del barrio Ostienne, el comedor se acentúa con paredes rojas y grises y mesas de madera gruesas y artesanales. Abiertas desde el mediodía hasta las 3 y de 7 a 11 los viernes, sábados y domingos y de 7 a 11 los martes, miércoles y jueves, se centran en clásicos romanos como la pasta con carbonara, Cacio e Pepe, Amatriciana, las salsas gricia, el huevo frito todo vignarola cubierto con verduras de primavera estofadas y queso de cabra y coratella, un guiso de corral elaborado con corazón de cordero, pulmones e hígado con salata de ricota y ralladura de limón. Comenzamos con panes dulces fritos con salsa de salvia y sarro y Frittata con calabacín, flores, queso robiola romano y verduras mixtas. Para nuestras entradas, elegimos espaguetis con tomate au gratinado y pimientos secos, bacalao frito con pimienta romana, pastel de carne en costra con salsa de hongos y ensalada de tomate y pasta maltagliati con galletas de pollo y marsala y queso pecorino. De postre, compartimos tiramisú y mousse de chocolate con romero. De alguna manera, de alguna manera, los espaguetis saben diferente cuando IT hacen en Italia.
