Trattoria Pellegrino In Catania

I came here on the recommendation of my transfer driver and wasn't disappointed. It's a typical pizza restaurant with a clear focus on the outdoor seating area. Located at Porto Nuovo, below the church, it's well-situated. The wood-fired pizza, made on-site in both classic and creative styles, is definitely worth a visit. A tip for those who fancy wine instead of beer – just ask! I really enjoyed the local white wine they offered.

This restaurant has fresh and delicious food, great service and has the best sunlit spot with a view of the water and little islands. The pizza was really good, freshly out of the pizza oven, and the grilled squid was really nice as well. The staffs kindly took us close to their break time and everyone was so nice and courteous. My family had so much fun here! Highly recommend this place who come to Aci Trezza.

I can't understand some of the negative reviews here. The pizza was truly excellent. My standards for pizza are quite high, and they were more than met here. Yes, the prices are a bit above average, but that's completely understandable given the high-quality, local ingredients. In addition to classic versions, there are also exciting creations, for example, with smoked cheese or fish! The desserts were also a highlight: The orange cream and the dark chocolate tartufo were simply divine. The service was attentive, friendly, and quick. Add to that the great atmosphere right on the water with a view of the square – an all-round delight!
