Trattoria Paradisiculo In Messina

The place is similar to a trattoria, but with portions reminiscent of a fine-dining restaurant. Good, local food, simply prepared, reminiscent of home cooking (a much appreciated aspect). Fast service, though the dishes are not coordinated. The bathroom is spotless. The prices are a bit high.

I'm from Palermo and had to come to Messina because of a civil case... I stayed in a B&B near this osteria... what can I say? Well... a family welcome, like visiting relatives... quality food cooked according to the best Sicilian family traditions... truly modest prices... in short... highly recommended... a special note: the owners, a husband and wife, are very young, like brothers... in short... you'll be staying with family.

A very lovely place that offers different fresh dishes every day. The food is so tasty and, although freshly prepared on order, it doesn't take too long to arrive. They also have delicious house wines. Although pretty small, they always try their best to accommodate everyone which we really predicted! If you don't speak Italian you might need to be patient and wait for the waiter to explain the menu to you as it's not printed due to it changing every day based on produce availability.

What an amazing find. Today we ventured into Messina sicily in search of an authentic Sicilian lunch and found the most wonderful restaurant. This is a family run establishment that offers extremely fresh dishes daily. Josephina and her family were so welcoming and excited to share their dishes with us. Josephinas mother cooks all of the food from local items available at the markets daily and the menu changes day to day based on what is fresh and available. Everything is in italian however they explained each dish and what makes it special so we could select local favorites and specialties. We had prosciutto and white melon for a starter, handmade pasta and fresh squid in a red sauce, and a local only to the area fried fish dish with red onion. Evey bite was incredible and we had the best service from the whole family. They treated us like valued friends instead of tourist customers. Momma makes a fantastic tiramisu and we tried a local cactus fruit that has to be tried if you are up to trying something different. Please try this small restaurant and support them. They are the best kindof people and you will have the best meal and conversation. They made it a truly memorable experience for our first time in Sicily. THANK YOU JOSEPHINA AND FAMILY. GOD BLESS.

The best place to eat! I had the pasta with salmon – I never believed pasta could taste this good, but it was more than tasty. Absolutely perfect and delightful! The chef is simply outstanding. 👌✨ Love this place🤍
