Trattoria Ottimofiore In Milano

Very good food, service and environment in line with a trattoria. Friendly and approachable. Price: a halved starter, a bottle of white wine, a fish main course and a cannoli: €55. So perhaps the price is slightly above what for me is a restaurant - considering that you leave the restaurant and "smell" of fried food. For me it's a 4.5. stars. I'll be back.

Historic venue, excellent quality Sicilian restaurant, Giovanni welcomes you with kindness and leads you to discover Sicilian cuisine. Pasta alla norm for competition and everything else. One of my favorites since I've known Milan.

Una piccola trattoria di cucina siciliana, con tavoli molto vicini e, quando al completo, molto rumorosa. Non male gli involtini di melanzane, Insalata carciofi e grana niente di che, 2 porzioni di pasta con le sarde, accettabile, cannolo siciliano piccolo e banale, scorzette d'arancia al cioccolato buone ma poche. Il tutto per 97 euro con vino e acqua. Conosco bene la cucina siciliana e questo locale non mi ha convinto. Il cibo è accettabile, ma non ci tornerei.

Lights and shadows. The starters were very good: aubergine and tuna rolls and the chicory salad with anchovies. The first courses leave a lot to be desired: pasta with figs and pistachio was simply killed by the cream, no other perceptible flavour: tagliolini alla newborne and bottarga excessively spicy, flavors covered here too. Average swordfish with lemon. The vegetable caponata is excellent. The desserts are average, nothing more. A serious flaw is that the air exchange of the room is highly insufficient and therefore ... you have the opportunity to take home the smell of the dishes ... even those of others ... in particular the fried foods. The bill, in my opinion, is excessive for what we ate, despite the photos of a long line of famous people hanging on the wall. I might go back if it happens, but I won't go looking for it.

Devo dire che ho consumato un ottimo pranzo. Voti da 1 a 10: 9.5 per il locale. Arredato con gusto, penso sia degli anni ‘60, forse ‘70, ben tenuto. 9 per il cibo. Pasta alla norma buona, molto buone le braciole messinesi anche se un po’ scarse in quantità… Gradevole la loro rivisitazione (sicula) del tiramisù. 8 per il servizio. Discreto rapporto qualità prezzo. Ci tornerei? Si. Lo consiglierei? Si.
