The most authentic Rome culinary experience we’ve had yet! The prices are reasonable and the food exceeded our expectations. Would definitely recommend stepping outside of the city center to experience this restaurant!

this place is AMAZING! HIGLY RECOMENDED! I usually take pictures of my food but this food was soo good i couldn't stop eating. the service was amazing, the atmosphere of the place amazing. to give you a heads up they don't have premade food waiting for you. So keep in mind you food will take more than 5 minutes but trust me when i said that you won't regret it.

Well, maybe not exactly, but after visiting Osti Matti, you might just wish you had. This unique, family-run tiny gem is more than just a restaurant; it’s an experience. The host somehow makes you feel like you’re part of his family, always finding a way to connect with you and make you feel right at home. And the food - well, I suspect it’s prepared by his "boss" (which in Rome, naturally translates to his wife or mother), who is nothing short of a culinary genius and a true MasterChef. Be sure to call ahead; with only a few tables, this cozy spot fills up fast. Osti Matti embodies all the vibrant, verbal, and sensory characteristics of Rome, but without the overwhelming chaos of the city center. It’s an affordable, authentic taste of Rome that you won’t want to miss.

The mixed starter of cold cuts and cheeses accompanied by a top fig jam was very good!! First and second courses plentiful and well done. The owner is also very approachable😊🍝🥂🍛

Very good professional owner, very nice Roman place, but if necessary, also vegetarian and vegan cuisine, phenomenal desserts, take advice from the owner, who will definitely accommodate you and let him tell you the story of every dish you eat, excellent experience, I will definitely return, thank you very well

This was our 2nd visit to this restaurant in 5 years. We had such a great experience the first time we made sure to come back on our 2nd trip to Rome. We made reservations and it was a good thing since every table was full. Please note that this will not be a fast turnaround. Sabatino, the owner is the only waiter so it's usually a 3+ hour experience. The food is fresh, inventive and delicious. We can't wait to return!
