Girando per Mantova e cercando un posto dove mangiare qualcosa al volo, ci siamo imbattuti in questo locale. Piatti tipici saporiti, il locale è anche una pizzeria.

The pizza was really good! Very crunchy and well seasoned! The desserts (including the Elvezia cake) are truly amazing! Quick and well-groomed service. Nice and rustic atmosphere. Super recommended for eating near the center of Mantua!

Good food, we had macaroni with donkey stew and fillet with mushrooms. However, the polenta with gorgonzola and mushrooms was not convincing as it arrived at the table already cold. As for the location, the restaurant is very nice inside.

Ate pizza: it's not traditional, a little dry... at first I was hesitant, then in fact it wasn't bad, on the contrary... definitely worth trying... and definitely worth trying also the dishes from the restaurant which I haven't tried... .

10/08/2024: Discovered while passing through Pegognaga thanks to the good reviews on maps, I confirm that I was pleasantly surprised by this ancient village tavern both for the truly interesting menu offering for the quality of the proposals, and for the attentive and friendly service and finally for the location with large external veranda and very refined furnishings. Delicious fish au gratin, excellent sea bass and praise for the ice cream with chocolate peach. Balanced bill with house bitters offered. I am very happy to still find passionate and competent restaurateurs in our lands like at the village inn. Well done.
04/08/2024: You don't end up at the Borgo tavern by chance. It's not on the main road. But someone must have suggested it to you. And the suggestion is truly due. Authentic food and flavours, impeccable and friendly service, very high quality and adequate prices. The cellar is an ovation to the passion for excellence: wines from all over Italy. To explore and test!! Well done; keep it up!

10/11/2024: What can I say, restaurants as you would always like them: few frills, a lot of concreteness but above all raw materials, with fish arriving fresh from Sicily 2/3 times a week and dishes cooked in a divine way. Everything is freshly prepared, so you might wait a moment longer, but you will be rewarded with unique and superlative dishes. Tommaso, uniquely kind and originally from Messina, takes care of the dining room, while his wife gives free rein to her creativity in the kitchen. As starters we opted for a real octopus with very soft and freshly blanched potatoes and a swordfish parmigiana which brought to mind Sunday lunches at my grandmother's house.... VERY GOOD! For the first courses, linguine with sea urchins and linguine with raw purple prawn steak from Mazara, stracciatella and cherry tomatoes... a unique taste... you could taste the sea! We concluded with two excellent decomposed cannolis that were equally good. Everything perfect, ingredients, cuisine and great hospitality and kindness. I highly recommend it and we will definitely return to dine there!
09/11/2024: Delicious food, relaxing environment and Mr. Tomasso and his wife are always welcoming and ready to make you feel at home. The paella from Messina is amazing. I will be back soon soon.
