Very homely place, but good but not exceptional food.. High prices for the place and for the quality of the food, given that in Sarno there are much nicer places at much lower prices and better quality!

A little gem, delightful restaurant in a historic setting with excellent dishes. The flavor and freshness are at the top. For me, who has celiac disease, the attention to gluten-free was precise and guaranteed. To return again and again.

A well-kept place where you can really breathe the air and flavors of traditional cuisine. For a moment I thought my mother was in the kitchen! Both sea and mountains, I tried the most typical things that I have been used to eating all my life and I found all the flavors I expected. Really highly recommended.

11/08/2024: The host, art history teacher in winter and factotum of the Osteria Hortus in summer, combines his passion for cooking with the absolute quality of local products and gives us a unique experience, with every course we were impressed literally speechless!! Seafood cuisine, menu made up of a few more different off-menu dishes that vary from day to day based on the catch, minimal but quality wine list, more than honest prices given the quality of the products. We will definitely be back!!
10/08/2024: Costabile Guariglia, insegnante di storia dell'arte in inverno e padrone di casa dell'Osteria Hortus d'estate, unisce la sua passione per la cucina con la qualità assoluta dei prodotti locali e ci regala un'esperienza unica, ad ogni portata siamo rimasti letteralmente a bocca aperta!! Cucina di mare, menù composto da pochi piatti più diversi fuori menù che variano di giorno in giorno in base al pescato, carta dei vini minimal ma di qualità, prezzi più che onesti vista la qualità dei prodotti. Torneremo sicuramente!!

29/08/2024: The menu promises but in the end does not confirm even if the salted fish was good..... the meat needs to be reviewed which is normal..... the service is very kind and makes up for the lack of communication with the kitchen with sympathy.. ... High cost compared to what is consumed.
