An authentic trattoria in the heart of Sarno. Simple and authentic flavors. The lady who runs it welcomes us very warmly and recommends the daily specials (pictured), giving us the opportunity to try some unfamiliar local dishes, such as the "mescita": cubes of broccoli, potatoes, and pan-fried croutons. A place I will definitely return to at the first opportunity.

I visited 'O Romano in Sarno and was truly impressed. I started with a delicious bean soup with porcini mushrooms and chestnuts: a rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced dish, ideal for those who love carefully prepared traditional flavors. For my second course, I chose the stockfish salad, incredibly fresh and impeccably dressed. The staff was extremely kind, always helpful, and attentive. Also noteworthy are the spotless bathrooms, equipped with hot water and hand towels—a detail that's always a pleasure to find. The final bill was €30, absolutely in line with the quality of the food and service. In short, 'O Romano is an excellent choice for those seeking well-crafted traditional cuisine and an authentic welcome. Highly recommended!

Their specialties are stock and cod, both for appetizers and first courses, prepared with great skill, and last but not least, river shrimp, which reflect the ancient Sarno tradition. Their delicate cuisine allows you to fully savor the raw ingredients, excellent service, and a well-kept venue create the perfect atmosphere for an evening with family or friends.
