On Sunday 15th February, after a snowshoe hike on Mount Etna, we stopped at a restaurant in Fornazzo. We ate very well. The restaurant was well-furnished and the quality of the food was truly excellent. I recommend the strozzapreti with mushrooms and the pistachio tortellini prepared by them. The chef deserves 4/5 stars for the quality. The staff in the restaurant were very helpful and welcoming.

An old-school trattoria, everything was perfect, especially the excellent meat. It's difficult, if not impossible, to find a place that combines quality, price, and authenticity all at once. We've returned here for the third year in a row and left satisfied with everything. The confirmation of this were the children, who ate everything and were delighted. The offers that were made on time were a real class act. See you next year.

A pleasant experience with courteous and friendly staff. The place is well-maintained, and despite the indoor area, the stove doesn't let the cold get in the way. The only downside was that we paid about €20 more for water, coffee, and dessert, which were already included in the full menus we ordered. Finally, I recommend making the mixed roast beef more substantial, as it's too small in quantity. Otherwise, everything was excellent!

We booked for New Year's Eve lunch. We paid €35 per person for an appetizer, first course, second course, dessert (two bar pastries), coffee, an after-dinner drink, and water. Extra drinks like wine, Coke, etc. were not included.
The food was average, but nothing exceptional. It was a bit too salty.
We were disappointed only because the restaurant was somewhat divided between inside and outside. Yes, because we were on a closed veranda, but obviously, being a veranda, there were some cold leaks, and it felt quite cold despite a single heater being on. This was not communicated to us when booking. Furthermore, being at the entrance and exit point, every time the door was opened, a blast of freezing cold came in, especially considering it's in the mountains. I think this treatment is different from that of other customers inside a constantly heated restaurant.
I only have to complain about this, which should have been warned in advance. When you next book, I recommend specifying and asking whether you will be on the veranda or not.

The negative reviews are incomprehensible: Our experience at this charming place was completely positive. We ordered pizzas and were pleasantly surprised by the choice of ingredients: they use zero-mile Sicilian flour from the Sant'Alfio mill, and you can taste the use of high-quality artisanal Italian mortadella and prosciutto. The pizzas were incredibly light and flavorful, with a perfect crust. The value for money is excellent, given that pizzas of this quality would cost at least double elsewhere. I also tried the Sicilian pizza, which I found dry and very good; the only complaint was that it was lightly topped on the inside, perhaps due to its non-standard size.
