Close to the Church of San Matteo, therefore in the centre, we tried this small restaurant for dinner, without a reservation on a Sunday evening. There is nothing that struck us, either good or bad, everything was done and executed with great sufficiency. Room with vaulted roof and staircase leading to the upper floor. Staff almost "not Salento" due to the unusual - for Lecce - lack of enthusiasm. Everything standard, even the dishes. Good chicory and broad beans, as well as ciceri and tria. But without notes of excellence. Price, also standard.

Recommended by a friend. First time in this place. Beautiful atmosphere, wonderful barrel roof. Perhaps little space between tables. The guys were courteous, kind and quick. Excellent food. I'll be back.

We came in a rainy Sunday. The service was fast and the food was delicious. We ordered pasta and mixed meat to share. Portions are good as well

On recommendation we decided to try this restaurant and we didn't regret it.
The environment is that of a true trattoria of the past, only typical dishes without large menus with a thousand things.
Recommended mixed starters with many local delicacies, super friendly and customer-focused staff.

Viaggetto di fine anno, primo giorno a Lecce.
Gente del posto, ci consiglia questo locale, vicinissimo alla Chiesa di San Matteo, in pieno centro storico. Prenotiamo per telefono.
Posto molto affollato. Non grande e disposto su due piani.
Due sole persone a servire. E per quanto uno sia bravo e disponibile, in due con tutta quella gente si fa fatica e anche l'attenzione al cliente, per forza di cose e non per volontà, dopo un po' scema.
Sulla qualità del cibo e sui piatti nulla da dire: siamo in una tipica trattoria e quindi mi aspetto sostanza e non forma e quello arriva!
Però lo stare a tavola è anche rilassarsi e in quel contesto non è facile.
