Trattoria Nonna Gigia In Bologna

I came here for dinner with a friend to try different Bolognese dishes. Let's take a trio of first courses with tortellini, lasagna and gramigna, among all 3 only the gramigna was saved because the tortellini didn't have a tasty broth and even the filling of the tortellino didn't seem like anything special to me, the lasagna had this narrow ragù and also a little dry which I honestly didn't like at all and they were also lukewarm. My friend takes ravioli with mortadella and pistachio mousse, good yes but there was very little filling which was not appreciated very much. For the second course we took a Bolognese cutlet which was mediocre, very thin, a lot, and a little salty ham. Total €60 with 2 waters and cover charge. It didn't convince me. The waiter who served us was always very kind and friendly, very professional

I love Venice and Florence, but they're such popular tourist destinations that restaurants don't have to make much of an effort. After all, no matter what, they'll still have thousands of tourists daily. When I decided to visit Bologna I was absolutely surprised by the amazing food. From lunch at a small, local restaurant, to gelato, everything was much better than in other cities. The best, of course, was my dinner at Trattoria Nonna Gigia. Amazing pasta, tasty and juicy rabbit and a tiramisu to die for. All in all, absolutely brilliant food, authentic, savory, delicious and unforgettable. I had the chance to talk with the waiters at the end in Italian and I told them what I'm writing now. Best food I had after visiting 5 different Italian cities in a couple of weeks. I'd travel to Bologna again just to come to this restaurant again. It is that good!!

Easter Monday trip to Bologna. Found this restaurant by chance. The food is really good, delicious first courses with fresh pasta, good good good second courses and desserts. The service is applause, the guys are really good. Great place that I recommend

We had dinner at Trattoria Nonna Gigia yesterday - the homemade pasta is excellent- we loved the bolognese and ravioli with pistachios. Really charming and friendly staff - we felt very welcome and highly recommend this trattoria. The kids were delighted to be sitting under the painting of Neptune 🤭. It was busy, so be sure to reserve ahead!

First night in Bologna, we didn't get a table at Trattoria Nonna Gigia. Secured a booking for two nights later and we're so glad we had the time to wait! Amazing food! Bolognese specialities (tortellini, tortelloni and tagliatelle just to name a few) Wonderful antipasti and unconventional salads. So sorry we couldn't make room for dessert as they looked devine! Our waitress spoke very well English and took her time to explain to us how specific types of pasta and condiments were made. A perfect dinner!

trattoria molto valida nel centro di Bologna con servizio efficace e prodotti locali molto buoni. la spesa è medio alta ma ne vale davvero la pena. unico neo è lo spazio non ci si muove proprio liberi ma si resiste.

Locale che si trova in centro, su una via laterale. Ambiente piccolo ma coccoloso, con personale gentilissimo e disponibile ad ogni richiesta. Cibo di qualità.
