We struggled to book and get dinner at this historic Milanese trattoria, but thanks to my daughter's perseverance, we were able to enjoy some of the specialties we'd been longing for. The risotto alla milanese was delicious—it's a shame it was served in such a small portion—the tripe alla milanese was unsurpassed, the meat was exquisite, and the desserts were delicious.
We hope we have no trouble rebooking.

A reason in itself to visit Milan!! I loved it!
I tried the Milanese meatballs (half portion) and their special risotto with osso buco, both were amazing but the meatballs were something else 😍
I went without a reservation but luckily they seated me in 10 mins and treated me a spumante while waiting😍 The people, the food and the ambiance are wonderful, grazie mille! Definitely will be back!

Maybe I chose the wrong day, maybe it was just a bad day.
But it didn't live up to the expectations and the many stories I've heard over the months/years.
The dishes were good, the risotto was passable, not the best, but the cutlet set a high bar for future restaurants.
The place is beautiful, well-kept, and in old Milanese style.
It's a shame I had a table at the entrance with endless customers coming and going, and waiters who tripped over my chair at least six times.
I almost had a good time, I don't want to believe it was like that, so I'll give the place a thumbs up.

Highly recommended restaurant! Excellent food, hands down the best cutlet I've ever had in Milan (and I've tried so many), super helpful staff (they told us they were out of potatoes, and then, surprisingly, they brought them to the table, made especially for us), and a friendly and kind owner.
Everything was delicious and the prices were excellent, we'll be back.

I was there a while ago, so my memory isn't photographic, but I remember one thing very well: I left feeling more than satisfied. And that's not a phrase I use casually.
I started with the vitello tonnato—a dish that, as a true Southerner, I'm still studying—and now I compare them all to the Trippa one, which for me remains the benchmark: exceptional. This one from Masuelli? Very good, balanced, well-served, the sauce present but not overbearing. I give it a thumbs up.
The risotto alla Milanese was creamy as it should be. Creamy, flavorful, made with care. Not the best in Milan (let's not exaggerate), but definitely one of those that make you understand that here, tradition isn't just a word written on the menu to fill space.
Then comes the Milanese cutlet.
First bite = thrills.
Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, generous size, no compromises. So far, it's the absolute best I've tried in Milan. Unbeatable. And when a cutlet silences you like this, there's little more to say.
The tiramisu is good, but not worthy of a standing ovation. The quest for the perfect tiramisu continues (and will continue).
Generous portions, impeccable service: friendly, fast, and attentive without being intrusive. I'm counting on €120, especially thanks to a bottle of wine that did its job.
Masuelli is one of those places where you understand that Milanese cuisine, when done well, doesn't need creative reinterpretations.
Go there even just for the cutlet. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delicious meal. Costoletta and ossubucco Milanese were both to die for. Extensive wine list, fairly priced, and excellent service all around. The room is also very nice, excellent vibe. Can’t recommend masuelli enough!
