Small characteristic trattoria, very kind they found us a table even if we hadn't booked! Excellent cappellacci and tagliatelle and even the chocolate dessert was world-class! The wall is covered with phrases and drawings made on placemats by customers, truly unique! Rating 10! Thanks

As a solo tourist I was treated in a condescending way from the very beginning. The worker of the trattoria told me with not a very happy face (due to me being just one person) that I can stay only if I am going to use the table for not more than 1 hour. And actually during the time I was eating there were more and more free tables, not like I was occupying someone's space...

By chance we passed this little restaurant.
Without pretensions we sat down and ordered typical dishes: cold cuts, tagliatelle with meat sauce, ravioli with meat sauce and lasagna. The best ragù in Bologna (obviously based on the places we tried), an amazing mixture!!!!!
Congratulations to these young girls who welcomed us with a wonderful smile.
And please, draw the placemats, because then the squares will be hung on the walls 🤣.

Rustic and very good restaurant, we tasted the tortelinni al ragu and the tortelinni in brodo and we finished with a tiramisu
Everything is good and homemade! We had a great time and were well received despite being tourists.
I recommend to anyone who wants to visit Bologna and taste its specialties!

The best food in Bologna. Tortellini in brodo truly perfect. Meatballs and peas then (because with food this good, it would be a crime not to!) Marscarpone. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
And came again 2 years later: delighted to say all the above still applies! Mariposa's reputation has obviously spread, as it seems much busier than 2 years ago, but rightly so! Still 5 star food, service and atmosphere!

Locale molto piccolo e forse un po’ stretto. Servizio cortese e preciso. Cibo buono nel solco della tradizione. Senza grandi picchi ma molto gradevole . Conto onestissimo
