Trattoria Mariella In San vito lo capo

Abbiamo scoperto la Trattoria da Mariella quasi per caso, ma è diventata subito uno dei punti forti della nostra vacanza. Atmosfera autentica, accoglienza calorosa e piatti che raccontano la vera anima della cucina siciliana. Il cous cous di pesce è stato senza dubbio il protagonista assoluto: saporito, ricco di profumi mediterranei e cucinato con grande maestria. Il brodo di pesce era intenso e avvolgente, il cous cous perfettamente sgranato e gli ingredienti freschissimi. Un piatto che da solo merita la visita. Ottima anche la selezione di antipasti, con prodotti locali preparati con cura e semplicità. Il servizio è stato gentile e attento, senza mai risultare invadente. Consigliatissima per chi vuole gustare una cucina genuina e tradizionale, in un ambiente familiare e rilassato. Torneremo sicuramente!

What can I say... everything was excellent... from the food to the courtesy of the owner and the staff... everyone was very good... value for money was more than excellent... highly recommended... well done, keep it up...

One of the best fish couscous eaten, especially for the addition of fried calamari. The aubergine caponata was also excellent. Fairly reasonable prices given the location (on the main street and very close to the sea). The owner was very courteous and, given the delay in serving the starters, offered us wine and coffee.

This restaurant was recommended to me by Mrs. Claudia of the Capriccio 2 pastry shop. I went there today, I ate very well at a fair price and... what's even more pleasant was the very kind staff, even though I hadn't booked, they found me a table for 5, we'll definitely be back soon.

Small but welcoming restaurant on the main street of San Vito. Truly excellent food, efficient and helpful service, prices slightly below average. Definitely worth trying

Not my favourite and mainly because of the service. The young servers were nice and did their best, the older lady (owner?) wasn't very helpful. Service took forever and food came out in a nonsensical order. The food is average. Took us ages to get the bill and get out of there.

The choice of restaurant was random, but very good. We were very pleased with the selected dishes.

I must admit that we wanted to go to another place, but since out of season much is still closed and after evaluating what was open, we ended up here. We order sparkling water and half a liter of house wine, we get plain water (doesn't really matters) and 0.7 of wine (and who's complaining). Eggplant caponata excellent. Mussel soup, we missed being soup a bit, but still excellent. Busiate sword and eggplant, excellent. To finish cassatina. I recommend it.

Devo ammettere che volevamo andare in un altro posto, ma siccome fuori stagione molto è ancora chiuso, dopo aver valutato ciò che era aperto, siamo finiti qui. Ordiniamo acqua frizzante e mezzo litro di vino della casa, ci arriva acqua naturale (poco importa) e 0,7 di vino (e chi si lamenta). Caponata di melanzano ottima. Zuppa di cozze, ci mancava un pò l'essere zuppa, ma comunque ottima. Busiate spada e melanzana, ottima. Per finire cassatina. Io come posto lo consiglio.
