A well-kept secret for 126 years: a secret long since revealed to those who live in and around Varese, but please, don't tell the Milanese. If they know there's such a wonderful place just a half hour from Milan (northern Milan, of course), they'll come every weekend. A delightfully old-fashioned atmosphere, a traditional trattoria, a lake view, impeccable service. What's the food? Lake fish, especially; otherwise, what are you doing on Lake Varese? I'm counting around €70 for three people, including a liter of house wine. Do yourself a favor: take a trip, a lunch, a Saturday or Sunday, with friends or family. You'll come back happy.

A good place to eat lake fish. Historic trattoria, trattoria-style service, and dated decor. Excellent food. Prices are a bit high: two mixed appetizers, two rice dishes with perch, house wine, and water cost almost €90. On the other hand, these are special dishes.

Questa trattoria ci ha fatto gustare dell’ottimo pesce di lago, che non è per nulla facile da trovare. Buonissimi il mix di antipasti ed il risotto con il persico, molto cortese il personale e stupenda la terrazza con vista lago. Bellissima esperienza!

Leggo con angoscia le recensioni. Sono sintomo dei tempi . Siamo abituati a all you can eat e/o ristoranti stellati. Qui si mangia genuino, come una volta in un ambiente famigliare. Avete mai mangiato il riso in cagnone ? Non è riso bianco è un trionfo di sapori. Pesce in carpiorne, luccio ..... consigliatissimo
