A local-friendly trattoria despite being in a very touristy area. We had a fantastic meal and the service was friendly. The tiramisu didn't seem homemade and it wasn't the best we've ever had. I would definitely go back because the pasta was spectacular. Super tasty.

Typical, home-style cooking. We ate wonderfully! The bread meatballs were wonderful, not to mention the orecchiette with turnip greens and crusco peppers.
I'd return to Matera just to eat here again!

Trattoria Lucana is a World Heritage Site. It still preserves the flavors of the past. We ate typical Lucanian products, traditional cuisine, the service is impeccable, there is quality, competence and professionalism, the kindness of the owners. You will remember it forever. I recommend the truly delicious dessert, a delight for our palate accompanied by an inevitable Amaro Lucano.

I visited this trattoria recently and had an overall positive experience. The atmosphere is simple and welcoming, in keeping with the restaurant's style, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The only small drawback is the space: the tables are a bit too close together, which can make the atmosphere a little less intimate during busy periods.

This is a really great restaurant. The food is delicious. Since coming to Italy, this is the first time I've eaten such delicious food. The restaurant has won many awards, guaranteeing its quality. The food also arrived quickly. I highly recommend everyone try it.
