A fantastic dinner with impeccable service, we ate two traditional Lucanian first courses with a goodness and flavor that took us back in time. The desserts recommended by the waiter received our total approval. I highly recommend this place.

Full restaurant on a Wednesday evening in November: this can only be a good sign. Simple and genuine cuisine, everything very good and nice portions, friendly staff, fast service. We tried two first courses and the meatballs.

In a historic restaurant it is not acceptable for a waiter to set a table with the room almost full while holding cutlery in his hand without using a napkin or a plate. I believe that the culprit is not the waiter but whoever is in charge...

Locale al centro di Matera, piccolo ma accogliente. Personale gentile. Menù con poca scelta con piatti tipici materani. Piatti cucinati in maniera semplice di buona qualità ma sinceramente nulla di particolare. Tutto nella media escluso il prezzo certamente alto per quello che viene offerto.

Trattoria tipica suggerita da una persona del posto. Mangiato bene, normale, preso cialedda calda, paccheri al tartufo, sugo della nonna misto, acqua. Tot. 54€. Buono. Non abbiamo prenotato. Pulito, personale cortese.

08/11/2024: A great restaurant with interesting local dishes. Beautifully decorated. The waiter was super nice and attentive. One star deducted because it was quite cold there and the heating was only turned on when other guests arrived.

10/08/2024: Trovato sulla guida Osterie Slow Food e passando da queste parti abbiamo cenato alla Mangiatoia, che dire: incredibile rapporto qualità/prezzo. Tre antipasti un primo un secondo e due acque con Lucano offerto: 44 euro in due. Location molto suggestiva per quanto riguarda la terrazza, un filo datato l’interno ma ci sta. Musica blues come accompagnamento un filino troppo alta ma molto interessante come scelta. Su tutto u’pastiz tipico di Rotondella, da solo merita il viaggio! Bravi, continuate così!
