It's a trattoria! Anyone expecting a trendy atmosphere should go elsewhere. Amazing, the food is good, the service is attentive to customer requests, very fast, and last but not least, the price is great. It feels like being back in the pre-Covid era. Well done.

Fantastic experience! Excellent food quality and beautifully presented dishes. The main highlights are the fair prices, which are rare these days, and the professionalism of the staff. Impeccable and courteous service. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

It's always nice to come back! The food is excellent, typical Taranto cuisine, and the service is quick and friendly!
You can't reserve, but it's worth the wait!

A true trattoria!!! Welcoming atmosphere, very friendly staff, good food, and very reasonable prices. The place was busy but well-organized and not chaotic, and the wait time wasn't long at all. Unexpected!!! Don't expect a typical restaurant. Definitely worth a visit if you're passing through Taranto.

I'm giving the food a 4, not because they're prepared by a Michelin-starred chef, but rather because they're traditional Taranto dishes that seem homemade, quick, and flavorful without frills.
A true trattoria, offering the essentials we put on our plates at home... oil, tomato, mussels, blue fish, cod, octopus, calamari, and much more.
No high-end seafood cart, just popular dishes from Taranto homes.
Spaghetti with garlic, oil, chili pepper, and mussels is only available here and at home.
And the prices? I've never seen them so low. They're still the same prices we all regretted before the skyrocketing prices we've become accustomed to, justified by quality ingredients prepared by chefs who have spent their time outside of the season. Okay, so what about a trattoria with a 4-euro first course? The service staff are quick and friendly. The only downside is they don't make coffee. Well, after appetizers, fried spaghetti, wine, fish, and sorbet, I'd happily have a coffee!

A historic trattoria, much-loved for its local cuisine and seafood at truly reasonable prices, with simple yet tasty dishes and generous portions. The atmosphere is lively and informal, often crowded (reservations are not accepted), but the service is fast and friendly. Perfect for a traditional Apulian experience without breaking the bank, especially if you enjoy tradition and fresh seafood.

A very popular trattoria, with a good selection of seafood dishes and house specialties. Absolutely excellent prices and good quality. A trattoria well worth a visit, especially considering the friendly waiters. The octopus is excellent, as is the mixed fried fish. The pasta with mussels is a must.

Below expectations
I went for dinner at Trattoria L’Orologio in Taranto hoping to try some local, traditional food, but unfortunately the experience was not very good. The food was mediocre and did not meet my expectations for a place offering local cuisine.
The portions are generous, though, which is a positive point.
Overall, an average experience that could be improved, especially for those looking for authentic local flavors

Two people. Two octopus appetizers. Two mussel marinara. Two spaghetti with calamari and black olives. A mixed fried fish. Two beers, a bottle of water... all good, thank you.
