Trattoria L'Oriuolo In Firenze

We ordered two pasta dishes and a steak to share. No surprises that would justify returning.

It's absolutely delicious! The visual of the meat is overwhelming! I ordered one pasta, but they thoughtfully split it into two :) Best ristorante in Florence🫶

The mushroom pasta was delicious. The chicken dish was simple but outstandingly delicious. The tomatoes too. For dessert, we had panna cotta. I wish we'd tried more.

Fried potatoes were served cold; service still has potential (the staff were rather unmotivated). The website promised more than it delivered. Unfortunately, we don't recommend this restaurant.

Starter: a magnificent green salad, melting in your mouth 😍 Truffle tagliatelle / osso buco The waitress spoke perfect French and explained the dishes and specialties to us. Far from the tourist traps, the decor is fantastic, the music is super cool, and the subdued lighting is very pleasant. Bravo 🎊 The wine: a perfect Chianti Classico

I also went there after watching Secretiyanim's video. I'm leaving this review in the hopes that it will be helpful, as many Koreans have visited after watching Secretiyanim's video, and many of the negative reviews are also from Koreans. 1. L-bone vs. T-bone Always get the T-bone. The T-bone starts at a minimum of 1.5kg, and it's worth the price. If you ask for the T-bone during the ordering process, they'll inform you of the minimum 1.5kg and help you order. 2. Meat Quality, including the Fascia Keep in mind that this restaurant serves Fiorentina steak. Many people talk about even cooking or the fascia due to the influence of black and white chefs, but that's just a dining-style steak, and it's far from the Fiorentina style. Come and experience the Fiorentina style. You'll savor the rich meaty flavor and the meat that tastes good even when it's cold. 3. Racism(?) Issue As many reviews have mentioned, I was served by a middle-aged man, who made excellent wine recommendations and was consistently witty. The speed of service and checkout isn't unique to this place; it's a cultural difference you'll experience anywhere in Italy. Many people complain about the seating arrangement, but the central seating is for multiple people, and the seats near the restroom are for two. In fact, even a regular Italian customer was assigned the seat closest to the restroom. I don't know if this place serves the best bistecca alla fiorentina, but it was delicious and certainly not something to be dismissed.

I'm uploading this because I thought about it even after the trip was over :) Thanks to the warm staff who took care of me kindly and seemingly without thinking, I had a very delicious first meal in Florence. The antipasti Florentine set, starting with the chicken liver pâté, was so rich and delicious, and although it wasn't a T-bone, the bistecca alla fiorentina showed the power of steak. It had a really smoky aroma and went perfectly with Bolgheri wine 💕.. You might not believe it was for two people, but we ate like we had been waiting for that day, and I fainted after dessert because it was so delicious. Even the after-dinner drinks in Florence... You really, really, really have to try this!!!!! It was such a fun meal. Thank you!!

Excellent Florentine steak. Good wines. It was really tasty. I would definitely go back.

Tutto come doveva essere. Atmosfera da trattoria, servizio cordiale, prezzi allineati ad altre location simili (Firenze è cara). Abbiamo mangiato una fiorentina con un paio di contorni, evitando tutto il resto per non rovinarci l'appetito. La fiorentina, venduta ad prezzo unitario (all'etto) chiaro, la portano al tavolo e la pesano: coreografico. La carne, cotta in maniera sapiente, è saporita ma senza fronzoli. Si scioglie in bocca e si gode. Soddisfatti.

Sono tornata qui dopo due anni, locale accogliente e cibo attimo a due passi dal Duomo. Consigliato. Ottima ribollita, e altri primi. Anche il vino della casa.
