Excellent home cooking, excellent value for money.

I stopped by chance at this place and it was a pleasant and tasty surprise, luckily these treats still exist, if you are in the area stop by and you won't regret it, the menus have excellent prices

Tried it on December 26, 2026, for lunch. The restaurant is located directly on Provincial Road 30 Alessandria-Acqui; therefore, when entering or exiting the internal parking lot, pay close attention to oncoming traffic. The restaurant is divided into three rooms—a small, a medium, and a larger one—all elegantly furnished and very welcoming. The staff is extremely friendly, the service is quite fast (considering the holiday and the fact that the restaurant was fully booked, the service times were absolutely reasonable). The menu offers a wide variety of meat and fish appetizers (the veal with tuna sauce and salmon were excellent), local first courses (especially the agnolotti with roast beef sauce, the ravioli del plin in broth, and the risotto with Castelmagno cheese), and main courses featuring grilled meats of all types and cuts (chicken is also available as an alternative). There's also a generous selection of house desserts and a very well-stocked wine list. Three tasting menus are also available for €38. I'm giving the ambiance four stars because, as mentioned above, the restaurant was fully booked, but despite this, the noise level was perfectly acceptable (I always find it pointless to shout louder than everyone else to be heard by the person sitting across from you, as that sets off a chain reaction that's difficult to control). Definitely worth trying again, perhaps on a weekday when there are fewer customers. Prices are in line with the Christmas season (€40-50 per person, excluding drinks).

My belly, make yourself at home... Excellent trattoria at fair prices. The only restaurant open on Sundays in Castellazzo, it makes you feel like you're missing out on alternatives. The house mixed grill is truly TITANIC.

Well, an excellent business lunch and attentive staff. The service and ambiance pay the price for a midday meal (you shouldn't expect the moon). The coffee at that lunch... That alone would be enough to wipe out the food score.
