Trattoria Lillicu In Cagliari

Excellent seafood and friendly service: the perfect recommendation! On a business trip, at the recommendation of a taxi driver, I discovered this historic trattoria and was thrilled. The fish is incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked at a very affordable price. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is authentic. A must-try, highly recommended!

Super typical Sardinian trattoria....

If you want to enjoy authentic, authentic Cagliari cuisine, you can't miss this historic trattoria. The staff is courteous, fast, and knowledgeable, the food is mouth-watering, and the prices are reasonable. We finally managed to get a table (for lunch, without a reservation), something we've tried many times before without success. We'll be back and highly recommend it. I had lunch here on a Sunday with friends; there were four of us. As soon as we arrived, we were seated right away. It's a shame the table was a bit narrow, partly because one end of the table was against the wall. The atmosphere is very chaotic; I wouldn't recommend it if you prefer a quieter environment (it's generally difficult not to find chaos at lunchtime in Cagliari on a Sunday). The location is simple and clean, with tables very close together. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful, providing prompt service. The menu is extensive, with both seafood and meat options. Some of the fish wasn't particularly fresh: we had mussels as an appetizer, and they were a bit dry and not perfectly clean; furthermore, the menu specifies that some products may be frozen. The first courses and fried fish were good. The price was reasonable for the overall service. I recommend booking in advance.

Overall, it was good, a wide selection of dishes, but they really screwed us over with the serving time. Not only did they not serve everything at the same time, but one of us waited for about an hour, and despite our repeated requests... despite their apologies and the freebie they wanted to give, it no longer mattered.
