I love this place. The food is excellent : penne cognac and most of the second dishes. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere is delightful. I would definitely come back!

Don't be fooled by the plastic veranda; inside, a farmhouse awaits, with wood-beamed ceilings, frescoes on the walls, and antique flooring. It's a large trattoria, not too noisy considering it was packed. Despite the large crowd, service was quick. Expect tasty home-cooked food, generous portions, and friendly, smiling staff. In the photos, you can see: bruschetta with lard and bruschetta with black truffle. Fettuccine with ragù and pennette alla norcina (mushrooms, sausage, and cream). Sweet and sour onions, and, a complimentary house special, limoncello and licorice. With water included, we only spent €44.50.

Three of us stopped in for lunch today, and having made a reservation, we were given a table right away, even though the place was packed. The restaurant was well-heated, both inside and out. The waitress, wearing a little flower on her head, was very courteous, kind, and friendly. The food was delivered promptly despite the large crowd inside. There's a wide selection of wines and truffle-based specialties to choose from, and very reasonable prices—for an appetizer and a main course, I spent about €25. The bruschetta with olive oil is highly recommended, superb! I also want to compliment the chefs for the excellent food and the waiters for their excellent service and friendliness. I highly recommend the place; the atmosphere is very beautiful and kept clean—top!

The best for black and white truffles, plentiful and at a fair price that rightly varies based on the annual market. The tagliolini are superb, the best dish of its kind I've ever had. The porcini mushrooms served as a side dish are also delicious, cooked in various ways. The staff is excellent, led by the legendary Federica, who has remained unchanged since day one! It's worth the drive to get there: you can't say you know truffles until you've eaten here.

This is our second time at this restaurant. The food and ingredients are EXCELLENT.
Both times we ordered the tagliatelle with truffle, and I must say it's a guarantee. The cured meats are truly high-quality, and the wine we ordered (a Sagrantino) and the olive oil they bring to the table are also excellent.
The first time was on a Sunday. I believe the owner was present and was incredibly kind, helping us match our wine choice with the dishes we ordered despite the restaurant being full. Last Tuesday, however, the service was anything but friendly and convivial. As always, the food quality was EXCELLENT, but the service could be completely overhauled. There was little attention to detail and speed (it should be noted that we booked during opening hours, 12:30). Not having time to finish an appetizer with the cured meats still on the plate and seeing the first course arrive makes you feel truly uncomfortable without even apologizing for the inconvenience.
We'll be back if we're ever in the area because it's one of the best places I've eaten in Umbria, hoping it was just a bad day for the staff.

Trattoria semplice ma con dei piatti ottimi
In viaggio verso il cuore dell'Umbria ci siamo fermati a Città di Castello per il pranzo, attirati dalla segnalazione di un ristorante su una guida. E soprattutto da una parola: tartufo. La trattoria Lea è molto grande, ma anche molto frequentata, in massima parte da gente del posto, infatti è consigliabile prenotare. Con un po' di fortuna abbiamo trovato un tavolo e nonostante un po' di attesa (il ristorante era alla capienza massima) siamo stati estremamente soddisfatti. Buoni e vari gli antipasti misti, assolutamente straordinari i primi: tagliatelle e gnocchetti al tartufo bianco, di cui erano letteralmente ricoperti (al doppio di un primo normale, prezzo assolutamente giustificato). Buoni anche i mazzafegati, presidio slow food locale, assaggiati come secondo.
