There are restaurants you visit once, and others you long to return to: Le Nonnerie definitely belongs to the latter category.
Its cuisine is rooted in tradition, but it doesn't stop there: it experiments, dares, and surprises. Each dish is carefully crafted, and even when it features unexpected combinations, you always sense a confident touch and authentic flavor. It's one of those rare places where you can confidently order blind, knowing that whatever comes your way will be excellent. It helps you step out of your comfort zone and experiment with things you wouldn't usually choose.
The menu changes monthly, and that's one of the reasons I return regularly: every visit is a new experience. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming, perfect for both couples and a family evening.
The owner is a true host: kind, passionate, and always eager to share the story behind a dish or ingredient.
It's my culinary refuge: a place that surprises without ever disappointing.
P.S.: I'm looking forward to the return of the Bao sausage and broccoli rabe.

The Rione Alto hotspot for good food and a homely feel.
The quality of the dishes is high, as is the service. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the menu is extensive. The catch of the day is impeccable. We tried the grilled mussels and fried paranza, and for our first course, the spaghetti with squid ink and bottarga. Between tastings, we enjoyed chatting with the owner: pleasant, approachable, and discreet. We recommend it, but above all... we'll be back!

Una piccola gemma nel cuore del Vomero: Le Nonnerie è il trionfo della pasta fresca, fatta a mano nel loro pastificio a pochi passi dal locale. Atmosfera intima e accogliente, perfetta per un pranzo di coppia. Ogni piatto è un’esplosione di sapori, con abbinamenti equilibrati e mai scontati. Il tutto impreziosito dalla presenza di Gaetano, proprietario carismatico e ospitale, che rende l’esperienza ancora più speciale. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Insomma, una di quelle scoperte che non solo si provano, ma si riprovano volentieri. Straconsigliato!

Siamo tornati alle Nonnerie questa volta insieme a degli amici che non lo avevano mai provato. In 4+2 bimbe abbiamo preso: 2 paste fresche al sugo, ottime, per gli adulti: 1 carciofo pastellato su una maionese molto interessante, bao salsicce e friarielli, buoni, un fritto misto, 2 porzioni di spaghetti a vongole, super buoni, 2 porzioni di spaghetti al nero di seppia, piacevoli, una frittura di gamberi e calamari ed una porzione di cozze a soute' con crostini, buonissimi; il tutto accompagnato da acqua e due bottiglie di vino per complessivi 200 euro. Il sig. Gaetano è gentile ed ha la battuta facile. Consigliato.
