Spectacular place excellent food the owner is the heart and love of this place in Modica in my opinion it is the best place for lunch or dinner

From the warm greetings of the owners to the freshy made pastas, this small family-owned restaurant at the center of Modica has captured me and my group's hearts (and bellies) so much that we had dinner there two nights in a row. Their ravioli is definitely a must try. If you happen to visit the charming city of Modica when you're in Sicily, I highly recommend eating at La Rusticana.

We just returned from this gem of a restaurant. A wonderful family-owned place with exceptionally personal service, they make you feel like a VIP. The food is delicious, I've always wanted to try authentic Italian Carbonara (I'm from Canada and it was first time in Sicily/Italy), and even though it wasn't on the menu they were kind enough to make me a plate anyways. It was amazing. My mom and girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed their ravioli, and we were all treated to generous portions of wine. Though we're only in Sicily for 5 days, after our first night here we will certainly be returning before we leave :) thank you!! Couldn't ask for a more authentic experience like you see in the movies

Afternoon walk from Palazzolo to Modica, lunch in this small family-run trattoria, which is why it will be the winning card of this little restaurant, typical Sicilian dishes and Iblean cuisine, since there is both meat and fish on the menu, we opted for the cuisine marinate, for appetizer boiled octopus and marinated anchovies (very good octopus even if it needed a few more minutes of cooking but I always give it a 5 star rating) exceptional marinated anchovies in vinegarql right point, we didn't take it first but a cooked roasted sea bass perfectly and based on our request, baked breaded swordfish, the dish that made me decide I scored 5 stars, truly exceptional, equally good and fresh grilled vegetables, kind and friendly service, I'll see you next time to try the land dishes ,good price and we will be back

The best lunch of the holiday, abundant dishes cooked with care, as if you were at home. Friendly staff and owner who welcomes you like home. Highly recommended.
