Yesterday, August 7, 2025, thanks to the hospitality of a dear friend, I ate lunch at the Trattoria La Rocca (which turned out to be much better than a Michelin-starred restaurant) in Falconara Marittima. Arriving around 1:00 PM, we had to wait a few minutes to take our "combat station," and the fact that the restaurant was packed, despite having a good number of seats, whetted our appetites even further. The tagliolini bianche allo scoglio were superb, to which we added a mixed grill (fish, of course) as well as the inevitable fried fish, which, in my humble opinion, is the litmus test between a fine-dining trattoria and a "good-value restaurant." Aside from the pleasant surprise of the reasonable, yet still significant, price, it's been a while since I've had the pleasure of eating such delicacies, and not because of the uniqueness of the dishes I chose, but because of the quality of the excellent cuisine. I thank Michele for this fantastic lunch, and a big thank you to the chef and all the staff at the restaurant, who made me feel like a regular. A special shout out to the "queen" of the bar, who, in addition to her friendly manners, which immediately put you at ease, adds her personal beauty, which never hurts. Congratulations and a big thank you. 👍👍

Un eccellente esperienza culinaria, sento il sapore di casa!!!! Le cameriere composte e attente. Nota di eccellenza il caffè preso al banco dove la banconista mi ricorda i tratti femminili calabresi... per un momento mi sono sentito quasi a San Luca... Tracagnotta!!!!

Sono stato a cena in questa trattoria con i colleghi di lavoro. Questa volta abbiamo preso il menù di carne. I primi erano molto buoni e la carne pure. Ci rivedremo presto.
